1stMate Matt
I would Lovvvvvvvvvve to attend this year. I believe I have a a previously scheduled event that week. However, Pirates Magazine is a big supporter of this event and we hope to make it out to see the site and wish everyone the best of weather and turnout. -1st Mate of Pirates Magazine -Bladesmith/Owner of That Works Studio http://youtube.com/thatworks thatworks.shop
Capt. Sterling
Sterling, I do hope that you will join us for the Natal days toast, even if you don't plan on partying. Think of it more as a tasting. We're staying at the Sheraton where the fest is, so if you are planning on retiring for the evening, you could (if you heart desires it), join us for the tasting and then go take your ease after. Thank you Sir... I would be honoured, for whatever reason, to join ye and yer Lady for a drink... Cheeky Actress
Pirates Magazine is a big supporter of this event and we hope to make it out to see the site and wish everyone the best of weather and turnout. ...and for this, we are extremely grateful, thank you! We do hope for warmer weather (in the 20s would be nice!) and we do hope for a successful turn out. As of today we have over 60 vendors! That's doubled from RF2! michaelsbagley
As of today we have over 60 vendors! That's doubled from RF2! Hey Cheeky, I just checked the RF web site for the list of vendors (pre-planning and budgeting for shopping), and while the news section of the main page states that as of Jan. 18th the vendor list was updated, and to click on the "exhibitor" link to see the list... Clicking on the "Exhibitor" link takes me to a page that has a link for the RF2 vendors (which is a dead link). Was the news bit a little preemptive and the update hasn't been uploaded yet? Or has the page been updated and I am just not seeing it? I only ask as you seem to be very involved, and possibly able to bring this issue to light for those responsible. Thanks for any help on that!

Capt. Sterling
I'm sure there be plenty of gents in the crewe willing to keep ye warm! LadyBarbossa
Mae... It was VERY, VERY cold last year for RF2. I'm not exagerating here. I do believe that the wind chill got to around -15 to -40! That's below zero temps! VERY noticable... you step outside - whether getting out of your car or just stepping outside for a moment, and you instantly froze! So... 20's will be a fantastic delight compared to last year. But, aye... don't fo'get to wear something mighty warm if you go outside... just in case it's incredibly freezing cold like last year. Inside, you haven't a thing to worry about. Can't wait t' see the mantua, Michael. Congrats on the chemise though. Those can be tricky to make, too. The Ball is a fantastic place t' showcase th' fine fashions. :) And, yes, those gowns no matter what type they are are quite something to make. Makes one happy and proud when it's complete and turns out the way you want it! Yes, I will ask about that "Mid Air Collision Over Kansas". And yes, just bring as much coinage as ye can, Michael. Trust me... it's VERY, VERY easy to spend $2,000 at this event cause you find almost anything your reenacting heart desires! We'll b' thinkin' of ya, Matt. Thank ye for th' support. Ye'll be missed. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous! Thank you for bringing this to our attention Mike. Though I am not in charge of this website, I did bring this to MBs attention. I clicked on the "Exhibitor" link this morning and though is mentions RF2...once the link opens you will see the RF4 logo on the front page listing the vendors for this year. Hope this helps. But it seems to be fussy, working one minute, and not the next (I tried to sent the link to my other half, and she had trouble with it, then didn't, and then again... etc.)
Capt. Sterling
Unfortunately, it is not a well organized webpage, nor is it kept up properly...maybe some day MB will get someone who can concentrate on that alone...tis such a shame "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... LadyBarbossa
And in the meantime, Michael, keep yo'r pistol handy and close by the comp... that way when somethin' goes wrong.... shoot it! Sjöröveren
I must, with great sorrow, send my regrets for RF4. I had the room booked and the time off work, but there has been a profound paucity of prize money in my home waters this winter. However, The Fool's Gold will be handsomely represented by Capt. Merrydeath, Lady Barbossa and Peaches. I suppose Red Bess & I will have to wait until Port Washington to discover if he is currently a good Peach or an evil Peach. (Perhaps he is a Cold Peach -- I'd wager his stones are clinging right now.) The good news is that this may have freed up an available room, if that has become a problem. the Fool's Gold Pirates

LadyBarbossa
Ye will be missed, Sea Rover. Will definitely have some fun fo' ye. Sjöröveren
Any embarrassing or compromising photos of Peaches would be most welcome, but try to keep it less than 100. Part of the decision to not go was the fact that there would be all these great vendors there, and I wouldn't be able to spend a groat on anything. It would just be too depressing. the Fool's Gold Pirates
LadyBarbossa
Understand completely, Sea Rover. I might purchase a map or two from Kass, but will be unlikely that I'll purchase anything else more due to arising opportunities and other issues. Even if I want a new hat blank... can't get that. All in all, ye and Bess 'll be missed. Will try to obtain at least one wickedly compromising image of Peaches. But, I don't know.. him dancing with the Roman last year was hilarious! Cap'n Pete Straw
That was a RUSSIAN Lawrence of Arabia. Searover ... the stones are just fine; thanks for your concern. It was a balmy 20 degrees on my way home this evening. At last - a Chicago heat wave. (Hmmm... Cling Peaches?) Ye will be missed, sir. Cheeky Actress
Just an FYI...there is an ATM machine in the Sheraton Hotel...just in case. Thought most of you would like to know. Member of "The Forsaken"
LadyBarbossa
ATM, huh? Oh, dear GOD! That's WAY too dangerous, Cheeky! They need to remove it before the reenactors arrive! However, I'm contemplating on breakfast, lunch and supper. Recalling last year when really you hadn't much of an opportunity to eat and when you did, it was the outrageously over priced restaurant or the Starbucks (which didn't really have anything to sustain a wired -or-17-hours-without-coffee reenactor). So, I'm thinking some snacks, sandwich makin's, or whatever else. Pizza delivery available? Or Chinese? HEY! It's been a while since I had pizza. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Last year, I did see a few people order pizza and it was delivered to the room. But there is pizza (Pizza Hut) available down near the water resort. Breakfast foods and Lunch foods will be available to purchase in the Paramount Ball room. I am looking at various take out places in the area, but most of them are pizza places. The Mall is about 10 mins away (if you have a car) and offers a various places. Member of "The Forsaken"
Capt. Sterling
Lady B, bring a cooler packed with yer favorite cold cuts... you will save a bundle. Everything at the hotel is extremely overpriced, including the food they provide for the event... and if I remember correctly Starbucks didn't serve food last year, they weren't set up for it. I asked, as one of their sandwiches for 6 bucks was still a whole lot cheaper than the hotel fair.
