Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
My sister works fer Disney up there, and she is one of the Highland/Scots festival Organizers as well. I will contact her to see if she has any time to spare and would be interested in getting involved. She loves decorating things and is very good at finding stuff, but she is also finishing the remodel on her new old home. I'll be back on this. LadyBarbossa
Hehehehe... will see about the pirates, I think there will be plenty who shall attend this convention for reenactors. As to props and decor, what all ye still be needin', Bilge? Bottles? brass an' silver? Lanterns? Maps? jewelry? ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" As to props and decor, what all ye still be needin', Bilge? Bottles? brass an' silver? Lanterns? Maps? jewelry? Well, first off - nothing that might be pilfered. Lanterns and jewelry would look smashing, but I can't be responsible for them and I don't think you want to see someone walk off with your goods. But if anyone has spare room in their vehicle for a small wooden crate, a few yeards of burlap, or even a ships wheel that could be leaned against the wall - that sort of stuff. I know that for the most part it's unlikely that anyone will have such large ticket items lying around and the means to easily transport them, but I figured it's worth throwing out there just the same. I've not even seen a picture of the room, so I'm flying blind. But I certainly have a large assortment of pirate flags I'll bring, an old smashed up barrel, some small furniture to DJ from, some tattered fabric I can drape over anything unsightly, etc. I AM BILGEMUNKY

I do agree though, small things may go missing, but we should be able to fix you up with some stuff... Capt. Sterling
I am thinking, mayhaps we should ask exactly where they are putting you... I would rather see you set up in the same hall with us, then be cloistered away in some room, no one else is using during the day... as some of us need to be at the display at all times, it might be better to have you right next door to us... that way you might not end up alone... I remember the first year, the Romans and the Waves (?) had one room all to themselves, detached from the rest of the displays and vendors, they were pretty lonely.... I have broken down and moved sound equipment plenty of times before, so I am thinking moving you into different rooms at night, if necessary, would be a whole lot easier than moving our sh---stuff... LadyBarbossa
Hmm... a display and demo room seperate from the sutlers and the ball room would be awesome. Bilge ye ask for whatever stuff ye want - make a list and check it twice -and we will see about bringing some stuff. OK? ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Cheeky Actress
Just so we are on the same page here. Bilge will be in half a ball room and the display groups (which include Archangel, Romans, Bristol Ren. Faire and so on...) will be right outside of this ballroom area in the hallway. We are close enough so we can walk in and out of the ballroom to interact and enjoy Bilge's company and great music. As for decorations...light and easy to manage will have to be the theme here. The basic stuff that can be stacked and stored under a table or two will work out to be the best. LadyBarbossa
LMAO! Oh, why do I have a feeling RF5 will be VERY, VERY good, too. Now, Sterling... ye should know better than a group o' pirates bein' in line and well behaved. Tis th' Gentlewomen who do what they can t' keep a sailor in line. But, if that's not possible, then ye go with th' sayin': "if ye can't beat 'em... JOIN 'EM!" 'Course in that image there... she didn't have her spoon in hand so... I suppose she was caught unarmed. Generally a prize t' be claimed. But I don't know there though Sterling... between Kate and Mickey at PiP... both of 'em gone wild.. might be best t' keep yo'r eyes upon them.
