BILLY BONES
1953 for me. My time's coming. Capt. William Bones Then he rapped on the door with a bit of stick like a handspike that he carried, and when my father appeared, called roughly for a glass of rum. This, when it was brought to him, he drank slowly, like a connoisseur, lingering on the taste, and still looking about him at the cliffs and up at our signboard. "This is a handy cove," says he, at length; " and a pleasant sittyated grog-shop. Much company, mate?" My father told him no, very little company, the more was the pity. "Well, then," said he, "this is the berth for me." Proprietor of Flags of Fortune.

Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
I always miss out on the clever titles. I was born a year after the Baby boomer cutoff (1961) and way before the Generation X crew. Guess we could be "Tweeners"
Red-Handed Jill
Actually, the Baby Boom generation was from 1946 to 1964. The fact that you just reverse the numbers is the way I remember it.
Silkie McDonough
Heh ...I was thinking the same thing. 1961 I heard the same thing. but I guess I was wrong ...I am a boomer ...
Red-Handed Jill
Apparently, if you go by the actual record of births, the end of the baby boom really is 1964. I've seen other years used - don't know where they came from, but they've never had any numbers or records or such to back them up. 1964 is a good demarcation for other reasons as well. At any rate, I have friends at the early end, but I don't think they are collecting Social Security yet...
Silkie McDonough
Yep ...and we have even longer to wait to collect full benefits. Good thing old is younger than it once was.
