Due to the sensitive ears of certain captains

All right lads and lasses, step up, state yer name and make yer mark if ye be snorers or talkers in yer sleep?

Hi... I'm Rats...

Hi Rats!!

Ahm...To be honest... I snore loud enough to wake the dead...

:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:;);):P;)

Infact one of my squad members could hear me snore over an artillery battle..... :ph34r:

:ph34r::ph34r:;););););)

I can snore sooooo loud, I can wake myself up and cause people in foreign lands to sit up and ask, "WHat the hell is that??!" ;)

However, the more I drink the less I snore....or so it seems! ;) Thank you!

Cheeky claims I snore, if extremely worn out.. but then since I don't sleep and she's usually busy talking in hers... I don't know how she knows this???

Honestly you were fine at Pike... what were you drinking? or could it have been all that fresh air?

Ok I will have to admit this....just to be realistic...

At Pike, I was exhausted... Both physically and mentally :ph34r:

I had spent the better part of the previous month working on the bar and tentage.... While also being assigned to a mentally frustrating post at work....

When I crashed... I literally crashed!!! Though I was under the bar and in the cellar I built... :P

The fresh air however really was great.... However, I'm wondering about the humidity in FL???

That explains why I didn't hear you....you actually slept down in the cellar, a bit uncomfortable with those kegs, no?

All right then, in your case, just awake as well? Or was your camp's sleep talker just THAT loud? ;)

My dear Captain, it is true that you have stirred me from deep sleep by your infernal snoring! Yet, I am very grateful that it hasn’t happened in some time. Though, I must say you are not as bad as Rats. Good Lord! May God have mercy on those who bunk close to him!

As for my talking in my sleep, when and if so, whom was I talking to or about? I can only remember doing this once.

I forgot to mention that I snore, but infrequently. I usually wake myself up and roll over onto my side.

Still, my curiousity about the snoring stems primarily from the opening scene in Master and Commander. Whenever I see the crew of the Surprise packed in like sardines I start thinking about the combined noise of so many able seamen sawing some 100 logs. While it may be noisy, I imagine that it becomes such a blend of sound, that when it is combined with the din of the ship itself, it is probably reduced to a loud white noise.

It may be the same case with the camps at PIP, especially down by the shore where the surf is a steady thrum of ebbing and flowing waves. Not to mention the wind through the trees there, and there is a steady wind.

I think in the end that the snoring, talking, late night drinking and singing might all blend in with the wind, waves and...lest we forget...roosters.

There's no one in Port Royal who snores any longer. Won't explain why that's the case, but they started to smell a bit bad after we took care of it... suffice it to say, it's much quieter and there's more food and drink to go around now.
