I know there was a thread about converting desert boots to look similar to GAoP shoes... I've seen Chapman's!

Just need the directions and some pics????

Thanks again and here's to you all!

BTW Cabellas has them for about $60....

I'm still looking for a pair of desert boots or some reasonable facsimile in my size! Smallest I can find is around a men's seven - and I'm a woman's seven or seven and a half (men's size five), so this has me in a bit of a quandary.

When I started converting the dress shoes, I was going to take pictures step-by-step, but it was too easy to do it...

I followed the general directions here, to start.

It does give a very few general directions -- most of what I did was do a search online for latchet shoes, find pictures of the ones I liked and cut the shoes to match. They're passable, at least, as can be seen in the thread that pretty much became about 'em here...
