Matusalem Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 My old hometown (old..as in established 1680), once again put on it's finest show ever! The oldest 4th July parade in the United States, which dates back to 1785 to celebrate independence from the Mother country. and naturally, the pirates once again plundered this Atlantic seaport in full fashion: No parade is complete without Captain Jack Sparrow, we had at least two: This boat sailed singlehandedly from bristol to New Zealand to Cape Horn back to Bristol in 400 days, now that's a hearty soul! Some friends of family invited us to their cookout at their 1847-built house complete with pirate/tiki bar, how cool is that!!: The ifreworks on the harbor the night before:

I am not Lost .,I am Exploring. "If you give a man a fire, he will be warm for a night, if you set a man on fire, he will be warm for the rest of his life!"
Red Cat Jenny Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Wow MAtt!! Thanks!! Looks like it was a great time!!! Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Red Cat Jenny Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 My Gosh! Labor Day is almost here! * runs and hides from Winter * Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... BriarRose Kildare Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Awesome pics, Thanks Matusalem. I Love the 4th of July. It is one of my favorite holidays. Ooh, and the fireworks...wow! I can't believe another summer is at an end and Labor day and Autumn are just around the corner. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. The Dimension of Time is only a doorway to open. A Time Traveler I am and a Lover of Delights whatever they may be. There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.
