Silkie McDonough
The answer is ...yes. All who want to be authentic, at least in the long run, are welcome. If you are coming as a Brit you may want to check in with the "commander" ...whomever that is. As a privateer check in with William Red Wake and read the thread. William Brand
Silkie is right in answering with a solitary yes, for as it stands, you can do as much or as little as you would like. There are several different encampments, i.e., buccaneer, privateer, smuggler and british, so you can join up with any of them. You can also bring an entire existing crew and camp in any one of the encampments. You are welcome to join in anywhere and you are encouraged to ask as many questions as you wish. Capt. Sterling
The crewe of the Archangel would also welcome you if you plan to come in yer red togs as we shall be playing pirate hunter come this event. Mercenaries always appeal to us. "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Captain Jim
This event is one that has evolved into the most welcoming of events out there. Come and be welcome. Come as a group or by yourself. Come prepared to have a fun time and be flexible, as a lot of what we have done is unscripted. To a great extent this is because of Harry Smid, the Park major domo. He allows us a great deal of latitude because he trusts us to be safe and he knows that we want to reenact history, not fantasy. So, come and join us happy pyrates and help us develop this into the premiere event in the land. If you get there and find myself, William, Harry, Hurricane or Capt Sterling we will find you something to do. Now go read the recent threads in Pyrates in Paradise, work up a character and come on down to the land of pyrates. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
