Britabroad
Hello, there. I wonder whether someone will be able to help me with what may be an odd reuqest. I am in charge of events at Big Surf Waterpark at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, and this year we are hoping to have a "Pirate Day" on July 21. We have already planned a treasure hunt for the kids, eye patches, etc., but what we really need to make the day memorable for our guests are some real pirates to scare the crowd, perhaps have some sword fights, maybe even walk the plank over our wave pool... the possibilities for fun stuff are endless. Can anybody help me find some pirate enthusiasts locally who would be willing to help us out, have some fun, and earn some money at the same time? Last year my family went to the Renaissance Festival in Columbia, Missouri and while we were there we met an impressive crew of pirates, who completely transfixed my (then) 5 year old son. They were great, but I have no idea how to get in touch with them. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions or contacts in the mid-Missouri area, I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance for your help. Best wishes AG
pyrateleather
Hi Britabroad, Was it the Mutineers that you remember? . They're from St. Louis and perormed last year at the Columbia Festival. I'll see a few of their members at the St. Louis Renfest this weekend and have contact with some other St. Louis & KC area groups if you want to send me a PM or email I'd be glad to do what I can to help. http://www.PyrateTradingCompany.com
