Mario Posted November 19, 2003 Posted November 19, 2003 POTC SWORD F/S One of the aircraft aluminum bladed fighting swords from Pirates of the Carribean. Propmaker Tony Swatton outfitted this sword with a new blade and cocobolo wood handle for my private collection. This is also the same design of sword used in filming Master and Commander (go see it if you haven't already - I die numerous times in the battle scenes!). Asking price is 250 dollars. Thanks! Mario
Mario Posted November 23, 2003 Author Posted November 23, 2003 Hi all, I'm lowering the price to 215 dollars. Hoping that somebody gets a lot of happiness from owning this piece. Cheers, Mario
El Pirata Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 What is the logo that I have circled in the enclosed pic? Have another closeup of the logo? Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
Mario Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 That logo is the Tony Swatton makers mark that he stamps on all his blades to prove their his. I don't have the digital camera with me anymore as it was loaned only to take these pics, though. Mario
Mario Posted November 29, 2003 Author Posted November 29, 2003 Final price reduction to 200 dollars. If nobody is interested here I'll sell on ebay but I thought I'd giev first crack to the real pirate and POTC aficionados. Cheers, Mario
capnwilliam Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 Sounds like everyone be tapped out already, Mario, with the holidays and PIP Festival and sech. I'd give it serious consideration, were it not that I just acquired a sword (similar looking but not as pretty), and 'tis garb and a flintlock that I need more. (Oh yeah, and to pay me bills and put money aware fer me retirement, and sech like foolishness!) Capt. William "The fight's not over while there's a shot in the locker!"
