You can buy land or stuff (using and account that uses real money) or you can play around for free (what I'm doing.... I just don't have any money yet....) I had a hastle downloading the program.... It wouldn't download in Netscape... so I had to use Internet Explorer.... but it works now.... It's kinda cool... you can make stuff and explore.... Hey... I like making stuff........ I did make a Pyrate hat for funsies...... Unfortunatly, my computer's vidio card isn't good enough to let me see my avitar or his clothing..... (and I wanted to make a Pyrate with a flying ship.......rats...) So... using "prims" (primitives... the changable building objects in SL...) I made a robot body, that I attached to myself.... and I can see me.... (it was kinda difficult moving around when all I could see was a pukka shell necklace....) I'm still fiddling around with the robot body tho.... some times it kinda moves wierd.... but I'm getting really good at working with prims...... I'm still on "Help Island"..... I want to get everything worked-out before I go to the "Mainland".... and I'm trying to learn "scripting" so I can make objects "do" things...... Unfortunatly.... there are some jerks that are on Help Island.... I'll be working on an object, and they will "ram" my avitar with thiers... this causes my avitar to get "bumped around"..... But... I found a "script" that will stop that from happining.... Tonight, I'll fix that, Figure I'll just laugh at them when they can't rudely bump me around anymore....... Hummmmm... maybe I can still make a Pyrate Avitar.... it will just take some fiddling with to get it to work.... and I'll still have the robot body if I wanna use that...... The system crashes all the time....... It sounded fun..... but it's not.......... Going to delets it from my computer.... TOTAL WASTE OF TIME..... And not in a good fun way.......
