Black Hearted Pearl Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Well, it caught the cabin boys attention which isn't easy to do with all that sugar in their system. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.

Capt. Sterling Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I think Walt would have been very proud of the all the hard work done on all three pics... "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
CrazyCholeBlack Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 pretty good. Now am I the only nut who sees a lot of similarities to that trailer and the Dreamworks Sinbad movie? the waterfall edge of the world the whirlpool the ship rolling on the sand the ice field ah, maybe all pirate movies are just starting to look alike to me! "If part of the goods be plundered by a pirate the proprietor or shipmaster is not entitled to any contribution." Jacky Tar Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 pretty good. Now am I the only nut who sees a lot of similarities to that trailer and the Dreamworks Sinbad movie? the waterfall edge of the world the whirlpool the ship rolling on the sand the ice field ah, maybe all pirate movies are just starting to look alike to me! Ted and Terry (The writers of all three movies) seem t' hav seen many pirate movies. The scene in POTC I, where Will and Jack are under an over-turned row boat and walk under water to the Dauntless, is straight out of the Crimson Pirate! Good stories often require borrowin' pieces from other stories. I would suspect that the writers of the Sinbad yarns hav done the same.
Rats Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I simply cannot wait! There really isn't much more to say... And to think it comes out only days before Port Fest!! Which means, we're going to have an excellent crowd!! JMHO! Rats No rest for the wicked! Wait a minute... that's me?!
Silent Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I'm so excitied for this, I'm going to go in full swag!!!
Capt. All the more reason to add them and just twist and tell them in a different way... remember there's nothing new under the sun... and I believe D. W. Griffith had his own twist on that little saying... "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Tartan Jack Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 remember there's nothing new under the sun... and I believe D. W. Griffith had his own twist on that little saying... Just remember, one of the most FAMOUS versions on that phrase (probably NOT the first) is from Song of Songs/Solomon, written approx. 3,000 years ago. Just as true today. I am looking forward to it. Maybe it will make 2 better and seem a bit less wandering (tie in loose ends that seemed superflous to the plot and drive of 2).
