Stuntwork, martial arts, swordplay, acting, films, etcetera ... I make a living as a fight specialist/stunt performer. I most recently worked on Russell Crowe's Master and Commander, Conquest for the History Channel, short film Lessons Lost, and several videogame projects.
  1. Final price reduction to 200 dollars. If nobody is interested here I'll sell on ebay but I thought I'd giev first crack to the real pirate and POTC aficionados. Cheers, Mario
  2. That logo is the Tony Swatton makers mark that he stamps on all his blades to prove their his. I don't have the digital camera with me anymore as it was loaned only to take these pics, though. Mario
  3. Hi Andre, The contracts were special ability, but my colleagues and I ended up serving as stunt trainers to the extras and performing in principal fights as well. So 200 was okay but not really great. Anyways, I'm in the final cut so I'm happy. The other guys didn't make it from what I saw. Mario
  4. Hi all, I'm lowering the price to 215 dollars. Hoping that somebody gets a lot of happiness from owning this piece. Cheers, Mario
  5. POTC SWORD F/S One of the aircraft aluminum bladed fighting swords from Pirates of the Carribean. Propmaker Tony Swatton outfitted this sword with a new blade and cocobolo wood handle for my private collection. This is also the same design of sword used in filming Master and Commander (go see it if you haven't already - I die numerous times in the battle scenes!). Asking price is 250 dollars. Thanks! Mario
  6. What did you all think of the swordplay and the main battle sequence on the Acheron? Curious ... Mario
  7. It was just under 200 a day before overtime (which there was always a bit of) but we did get some nice perks too. Still, not stunt pay ... Luke and those guys made the big money. Have you seen the film yet? You can spot Luke being kicked and cut as Russel descends below decks and I'm shot just before the pike charge. I also happen to be in the pike charge a second later. Mario
  8. Royaliste; Thanks for the clarification and sorry I took so long ot get back to this thread. I was pretty shocked to think they made 500 a day but when it includes plane fare and overtime for working two days that's a bit more like it. Hope the film does well. So far 25 million! Maria; it seems I did make a few more bucks comparatively after all. But just barely. ;-) Mario
  9. Frankly, I'd say those guys have absolutely nothing to complain about. They actually got way *over* paid if they received 500 dollars for two days worth of extrawork on that movie. The combat trainers who taught most of the extras how to fight and take reactions weren't even making that much! Maybe that ought to put in perspective. Regards, Mario
