we had a wonderful weekend at the Amana ren faire. LadyB and I commanded a space for a tent and then shaghaied little ones to be pirates. I think the best part was when a small boy took his plastic sword and had a fight with a belly dancer and HER long brass simitar. I think we can call this faire a success in many ways. HUZZAH!

ahem.. and a lovely man Ian is.. but his wheel needs greasing. I got to meet him and his wife several times. I'm sorry I missed them... Funny story you have Jib, about the leg and the lass! lol thank you for that!

have a drink for me..and my pistol WAS found.. miracles DO happen. I guess someone found it at the Bakery. I was at the China Pagoda in Chaska, eatting with some of the MNRF peeps. One of the bakery people told me she had found it... amazing!! have a drink for me at Mac's and there are some pics up at the foolsgold yahoo site.. Mad Jack, Bess and Searover, China Rose and .. Innocence I think her name is. A few Guinness and I'm befuddled for names.

The Amana Faire is indeed that weekend.. Sept 2, 3, and 4. its a bit of play of words by the other faire. That one was NAMED the International Ren Faire and it won't be there. but luckily there will A REN FAIRE there but not by the same group.. This one is by the people who had the Osceola faires.. and fun they are! if you go, look for me in the tent area. I'll be the one with the a frame tent, two person.

I missed most of the Pirates of Portobello, (as a crew) but I did have some wonderful Guinness that my sturgeon.. er surgeon bought me. I had a grand time under the grape arbor with the pirates.. twas grand! and as for Jib and Mad Jack.. A little piece of heaven was mine that day.. you both are wonderful gents, and I look forward to seeing ya again.

i am going to have a pirate encampment at the AMANA REN FAIRE, same weekend. I like the area better, since last time there was terrible dust and noise there.. and the Elvis songs on the radio wasn't their fault either, but it was too distracting. I'll be at the charming and new faire at the amanas, with Mistress Bawd and the Jousters, the DAnza Mystique, and others of fame and renouwn..

Mad Jack was being a sweetheart to his Janelle, and had to forsake us for her, as it should be. Our crew was there with bells on.. literally in my case, and I got to play giddyup with a pirate in a yellow scarf.. Kegs? he was a trooper! Thanks to all of you who made my MNRF trip a roaring success! If the gods will favor me, I'll be up again before next year. and I LIKE candy.. as I drink my rum.

I LOVE pickles... and the juice too. :) a few years ago I had every pickle merchant putting ice in my chest.. it was 93 degrees and hotter then Tortuga in mid summer. Wonderful to meet you, sweets, and I loved your ship game too..

Dear Jib... the people of the faire will win.. being able to see you fight and be piratey!! I put 5 silver on the pirate in the red coat... ----------------------------------------------- Mad Jack, if you ever need something when we are around, let us know.. we'l had a few encounters with not well family, so we all try to help.. and if good thoughts can help then you have all of mine... hugs and all, sweety.. and your picture is marvelous. (brings up the sound of a ticking clock.. when will his patioence break??)

I guess a mutiny of the whole faire is out of the question?? I do have several flags we can raise over the battlements... hmmmmmmm I would love to see Vilification Tennis at noon.. its my favorite part... besides the friends, and the fencing, and the parades, and the shops, and the acts, and the food, and the amazing ice/picklemen with endless ice and warm hands.
