  2. Birthday?! Already?!?! Well, then...just in case I'm not on the board this weekend... And a great one!

  6. Lady, do not feel bad…rose water is a required taste. I’ve make “Turkish Delight’ with it, but I prefer orange water instead.
  7. Well, if you haven't tried Ransom's Bread Pudding or French toast recipes...you're really missing something. I must say the Bread Pudding was WONDERFUL! I applaud your Granny, Ransom.
  8. Going to try Swiss Steak tonight. It's been a while. along with some fresh string beans and almonds, brown rice with saffron spice and lemon pie and coffee.
  9. Damn! You would think working out would be easy. I've been doing it on and off for years. It's the age thing that is making it harder and harder to do what I use to do. Example: My right shoulder for the last week has been in a constant pain. Not a major owie..but a continuous dull pain. Back in my 30s I would chalk it up to strain or perhaps over doing it. But now, I am beginning to ponder 'other reasons' such as Fibromyalgia, which I highly doubt, but you never know unless you get yourself checked out. I guess I'll have to back off a bit (pooh) and go slower...
  10. I hate this part of my job.... Terminating people in our Human Resources program. The fact I don't care too much for the program is one thing, but to terminate someone is another...I hate it.
  11. It’s actually nice out. Low 60s with sun! Shocking really when tomorrow is suppose to be in the 80s! Ooooh, I cannot wait.
  12. Patrick's link to, "How to "cock" a hat" was a life saver for me. I had a hat, but it never looked quiet right for our time period. I did it in several hours the night BEFORE an event. Note, I did not lacquer the hat (weather proofing), but seeing that it was for a lady's attire along with an indoor event, I did not see the need at the time.
  13. Okay...had 70 degree weather on Saturday...Fell to 40s and rain on Sunday...SNOW (remember...it IS a four-letter word) on Tuesday and now it's just getting back to normal....80s are predicted for Friday. April...just can't make up its mind!
  14. 'Joe Pyrat' date='Apr 22 2009, 03:54 PM' 3. On foot: People who use baby buggies as battering rams in crowded places. Perhaps they should put 'cow catchers' on the front of those damn things...it would be great for State Fairs and crowd control.
  15. Now that's interesting...a bit early (1860s) type thingy...but doable. What about you and Maggie?
