  1. Attention Midwest Lords & Ladies - The official registration for the charter bus trip to Reenactor Fest 3 (Gettysburg) has begun, and there are only 50 seats available! We have secured a pick up spot in Wheaton IL at Wheaton College. The bus will depart there at 7:00 pm the evening of Thursday November 29 and arrive in Gettysburg the next day. It departs early Sunday morning and gets everybody back to Wheaton Sunday night. This is the CHEAPEST and most fun way to attend RF3... the most practical too if you have stuff the airport will frown on, like SWORDS! Trip highlights: - a 60 person passenger coach full of reenactors from all time periods - bathroom on-board - multiple TV screens and a DVD player so we can watch our own movies (60 people saying lines from the Holy Grail at once??) - alcohol is permitted - a total cost of $129.99 and this includes a 3 day pass to RF3! The Chicago Reenactor Fest is awesome, but if you haven't been to Gettysburg, you are really missing out! The whole town caters to reenactors and history buffs, and the hotel is 5 minutes from everything. A private bus tour of the battlefield for RF3 guests is in the works, so a lack of a car won't stop you from experiencing it! Let's not forget the CONVENTION ... we have a giant ballroom full of vendors, live entertainment, plus the seminars and discussions we all enjoy so much. Friday night is the grand ball and Saturday night is another party just for RF3 attendees. I need to turn the final head count into the bus company by June 1st, so please don't delay in signing up. ALSO... please pass this along to anybody you know who may be interested! Important links: The Magical History Tour Reenactor Fest When was the last time you went on a Road Trip?? Roll up, roll up for the Magical History Tour!!
  2. ^ Yes I would! But it would be hard to pick between Tom Baker (4), Paul McGann (8), or Richard Grant (9)! All of them have their own 'fun' traits. < Just found out that Ron Atkinson (Black Adder) was a Doctor for a charity skit! V Forward in time or Back in Time?
  3. Yes, I do agree that this is a 'survivor' with a theme! Yet, is should be interesting on how they elect their Captain(s). Worth at least checking out the first show.
  4. Lucky Gal! Have fun Lady B! As for myself. I'm feeling pretty good. Was able to step out for lunch and read a bit in the sun!
  5. ^ There is only one person whom I do wonder about. < Space travel sounds fun as does time travel! V Would you go with "Doctor Who" on one of his time travel trips if he asked? If so, which Doctor?

  11. Lilly took up her goblet and lent forward. “It’s complicated.” She said in a whispered tone. “I have been cast aside for another woman whom Captain Sterling married in less than a fortnight upon meeting her!” The mere mention of the ‘other woman’ made Lilly show signs of disgust upon her face. “Now his damnable crew has banded me from seeing him and boarding the Archangel. Even though I am sure that they are only following orders from Master March, I cannot believe that they would treat me in such a manner. You see Captain, Captain Sterling is a sickly fellow both in body and in mind. He has never been quite right since he returned from Algiers. His crew is quite protective of him and I do not blame them. All I wish is to have audience with him, ask for saefe passage back to England when they depart from Port Royal and perhaps talk some sense into the addle-minded brain of his!”
  12. Oooo! Three hours of Swashbuckling fun for everyone! Come on people, three hours is nothing... It’s not as long as the 1928 Chinese movie, “The Burning of the Red Lotus Temple”. It clocked out at 27 hour long…. Could you imagine 27 hours of Pyrate Mayham?! There is no down side for that!
  13. Chai would be wonderful about now!
  14. Believe it or not....the sound of my space heater here at work. Only 40 degrees today! Come on Spring!

  17. As Lilly finished her meal, she took the last piece of meat and handed it to Mate. "If you wish to catch this Hutchinson you'll find him out at his plantation. If he hasn't fled Port Royal. Mate continued to lick Lilly's fingers as Hamish puffed quietly upon his pipe. "Do you plan to bring the authorizes with you when you confront this mad-mad?” She asked as she patted the dog upon his head?
