“I have no power over this matter, Mistress…McKinney?” Lilly nodded slightly as she acknowledged her name, looking back at the Officer of the Gate. He looked over the letter's content closely. “You see, this matter can only be addressed by the Governor himself.” He said placing the letter back into Mistress McKinney’s hand. “Even though this letter seems to be in proper order, there is nothing I can do. It is beyond my control I’m afraid.” And with that he tried to comfort her with a slight smile. Lilly’s eyes began to well up with tears. Her lover’s end was evident. “Perhaps if I were to plead my case to the Governor, surely he would listen to my case and then he wou…” “I am sorry, Mistress,” Interrupted the young Officer as he sat back down at his desk, “The Governor has been preoccupied with the matters of his command and station these last few days. I am sure that if you seek audience with him, you may be waiting quite some time.” Crushed and devastated Lilly gave the young Officer a long and arduous stare. “Very well, Sir, I shall bid thee good-night. But this is not the last you shall see of me. I will do everything in my possession and power to make sure that Captain Sterling is released from this Hell you call a prison…even if I have to call upon Satan himself to burn the damn place down!” With that a forceful blast shattered the windows to the Gate house throwing Mistress Lilly and the young Officer to the ground.

Okay....I'll bring my portable "B"ar!

^ Just for the cute factor alone....Kitty/Pussyfoot (Lesser known Warner Brothers character). No matter what peril that sweet little creature encountered, it always seem to miss it completely or pass it by. Life should be so sweet! < Hmm...(cough, Sniff...) I'm right behind you Captain P.E.W. V Least favorite thing about summer?

^ Scrabble with Charles Dickens or Dodge Ball with Queen Victoria...each one would be very entertaining in their own way. < really...Really...REALLY want to play hooky today! Lovely out with temps in the mid 70s. I V What is your perfect 'hooky' day?

"Oh and Rats...." Lilly bends over his shoulder and ever so gently whispers into his right ear. "I do have a video camera and tripod if this will assist you in your cunning plan?”

Hi Rats, Unfortunately, I haven't been able to download the RealTime video. We don't have it here at work (cough...cough), and the downloading time on my system is approximately 1 hour and 20 mins. Thus, locking up my computer for that long (sigh - I hate dial up! The joys of living out in God's country). I will have to do it this weekend. Then I can let you know. -
Say no to the "The Den of Decadence"?! Turn your back on the The Bodacious Burrow of Brigands? Sorry 'Bastain...perhaps another time - period!
-
Lilly just smiles at 'Bastain.... "Oh, but who can say 'no' to such an encampment? It would make any "Gypsy" feel at home, - Is it not beautiful? Yup...she does this stuff for fun! Her tent...

With a letter clutched in hand, Mistress Lilly approached the billet of the English officer. This was her last hope, she thought to herself. She drew a deep breath and lightly knocked upon the officer's door. There she stood as if time had stopped. Would he be sympathetic to a woman’s plea?

Pirates of The Caribbean - At World's End

It was a fun time had by all! The staff/crew at the Marcus Theater did a great job keeping us happy. Hmmm...perhaps we should do more 'period' movies? -
It could be several things Andrew Orgill (about 1680s), who was a merchant and planter, use to have land which was called 'The Crawls' There was an area called 'turtle crawls' which are probably referring to an area along the beach on the north side of the island. I think St. Paul's Church was off of High Street. That's all I can find thus far. Hope this helps.

Fun to hang out with. Lilly shoots a look and rolls her eyes... GROAN! Very animated, aren’t I? Well, I must admit it was a great bit to do, especially with the kids. The kids always asked about the condition of my teeth. I kept saying to them that it was the on set of Scurvy and if they didn’t want to end up with bad teeth they had to make sure they ate their fruits and vegetables! I had one mother who worked in the health care industry 'thanked' me for enforcing good eating habits to her 5 and 7 year old. “They won’t listen to me.” She added. “It seems that they took you very seriously. Maybe hearing it from ‘pirate’ will make them think twice about questioning me!” Stranger things have happen folks…You see….Pirates are great role models!

Video I can do...digital or 8mm, William? Gosh, had I known about this posting prior to Port Washington's event...I would have done the step by step! Well, there are approximately three more (four?) events which we can use it. Cheeky

Cleaning up from a great cook out and now realizing there is only a few hours left of the weekend ( ), until I have to go back to 'that place' called work. Was rather a nice relaxing weekend. Group of old friends from up north gathered for a parade and birthday party. It was nice...I think we made the paper...again! Need to see if I can get a newpaper from that city tomorrow. Cheeky

However, Cap'n Pete, just like any good 'Star Trek' episode, there is that brief moment in time that one can meet up with their 'evil' side – sharing both time and space. As you can see, nothing ‘catastrophic’ happened last weekend when my twin and I met...oh wait, there was that tornado, wasn't there?! It would be interesting to see what would happen if you and Evil Peaches showed up for RF4! Hmm…now that would be interesting, wouldn’t it?! BTW Cap’n Pete, it is very hard to get leather out from between teeth. I suggest a leather man’s tool.

Thank you RumbaRue! Here are a few shots of the Archangel Crew at the movie event. Several of our Crew... Annie Copafeel with Rats having a bit of fun Why we do what we do! -
Does this help? or Cheeky who isn't happy with either shot
-
Those two! My word they had me and Annie Copafeel on our toes. I must admit, they were charming little ones, but pyrates nonetheless! One demanded my bread while the other one (acting as a distraction) tried to pinch Annies bits! Bits being jewlery, everyone. Here is another candid shot of them with Master March and Rats Lastly, a shot of me trying to sell my bread to our Captain. I guess he doesn't care for month old bread?!
