  2. Lovely! Just a few things to help you and the Misses out This time period is known for the number of 'layers' and 'positioning' of garments. Just a few things that need repositioning here: 1. Pull the fabric forward (from the back - over the shoulders) and make sure the fabric lays properly on top of the shoulders...then; 2. Draw the fronts of the Mantua closer in the front. The fronts should fall right in line at the center of her areolas ( Shocking!). This will give the whole outfit the look of being properly centered; 3. I would reposition the "ties" and place them higher on her hips. I think if the 'ties' were repositioned, the skirt fabric would fold back just so and give that pleated look. 4. She could belt it! Belt your Mantua with ribbon, silk or even a woven belt of hemp! Hope these suggestions help you two out. Have fun...you're really looking great!
  3. Of interesting note, the tome that I am currently reading is related to that which you are. The basis for fictitional work was inspired by the historically known Lady Kathleen Ferrers. Monde petit, non? Yes! Give that Smuggler/Gypsy a Blunderbuss! That is correct, 'Bastian. Gosh, this is a kinda creepy Virgo thing we got going on here, don't we

  6. Hmm...so far we have Zorro, William Wallace, Captain Jack Sparrow... Let's see what they've come up for me, shall we? You scored as a Lara Croft ! A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. She packs two Colt .45s and has no fear of jumping off buildings, exploring creepy tombs, or taking on evil meglomaniacs bent on world domination. What the?!? Jeeze, really?! I've got to loose some weight!
  7. \ Date Horror stories? Come On, EVERYONE has one...looks like too many people are fearful of reliving the pain of it all! All I can say is....My date left with my twin sister. Needless to say, neither she nor I ever dated him again! < Life has gotten very weird as of late... \/ First Day of Summer is tomorrow...how are you going to spend it?
  8. As Lilly entered the room, she found that the debris from the bombing had been cleared away along with the broken furniture. Now the room looked sparse, including the expressions on the faces of the two officers who sat and waited to take audience with her and Lady Tess St. Claire. An uncomfortable feeling came over her as the two of them whispered between themselves until the older officer cleared his throat. “Come forward Mistress.” He said beckoning her with his hand. “I understand that you plead clemency for your crime of .” “Crime? But I am…” A quick hushing noise came from Tess as she quickly shot Lilly a look. “What she means to say, Commander Sloakcom, “Is it was not a crime against law that made her do what she did, but a crime of passion.” The two men looked baffled at each other. The older officer just rolled his eyes. “Yes, very well, “ He said pulling paperwork from a book. “It has been discovered that the blast that occurred earlier this night was not of your doing, Mistress – yet, we do believe that you may know who was behind it? Two cells were destroyed and the prisoner has escaped! “Captain Sterling?!” blurted out Mistress Lilly. “Whom?!” Asked the Commander Sloakcom as he stared back at his officer in charge. “A murder, Sir. He was brought in to our jail just recently. “Well, then…find me his paperwork. Damn it all! Hate not being kept up on such details!” “Sorry, sir” said the officer of the Gate. “If you please, Sir.” Tess said drawing attentions back to herself. “Mistress McKinney begs audience with Captain Sterling.” “Does she now?” Again, the Commander interjected with eyebrows raised. “And why in God’s name should we let a pretty thing such as she take up audience with a murder?” “Because you have the wrong man, Commander. The murderer who killed the overseer is one Lewis Hutchinson!”

  11. Slowly Lilly walked down the shadow-drenched corridor. The torch cast long shadows as Lilly, Tess and two guards made their way to the main entrance of the prison. Lilly’s mind began to race. Why in heaven’s name would Tess St. Claire wish to help her? It was obvious that the two of them did not care for each other. Neither of them had anything in common, apart from Captain Sterling, that is; and even with this, there wasn’t much in common. Tess glanced back over her shoulder. “I know that look.” She whispered to Lilly. “Fear not, I have asked for clemency regarding your imprisonment and by grand luck, we have been asked to take audience with the officer of the gate and his superior officer. All I ask is that you sit and say nothing until I say so.” Lilly was about to cross words with Tess, but she bit her tongue and gave her a hateful look. “Now, try not to look so glum, Lilly. Sulking so does not become you. You would be very pretty if you wouldn’t scowl so oft’n.” Tess stood in front of the main chamber doors as she waited for the guards to open them. “Now, be a good girl and if everything goes as plan, you’ll get to see your beloved Captain Sterling.” Lilly stood there stunned as the doors open to the main chamber.
