My father sent me a book. It arrived today and he stated that it belonged to my Gandmother McCallum. It was a book of various poems. The book is over 90 years old and in its pages I've found the following: A four leaf clover a 5 pound note a lock of hair with a purple ribbon attached a pressed rose a newspaper clipping about a local man marrying (Coatbridge, Scotland) a picture of my great uncles "Stephen and John - twins" and lastly.... A picture (from the look of the clothing - about 1870s) of a well-dressed couple - I think they are my great grandparents. I am sure that each item found in the pages of that book held some deep and precious mean to her and what really moves me is that my Da decided to send it to me...knowing that she really meant a lot...not only to him, but to me.

Coins were placed upon the table. It was enough to keep a room at the Inn for another week along with a meal a day. "I shall call upon thee again. Saturday evening around seven of the clock?" Lilly looked at the coins again. "Very well. Where?" Remmie turned his head slightly to one side. "Here, of course?" Lilly gave him a disappointed look. It was her expression to his answer which made him rethink his answer. "Oh, I see. You wish to step out that evening, is that right?" This was a good enough reason as any to cover up the reason of not being able to come back to this household. How would it look if they both returned and there was someone there. It was bad enough that she was had feared of being caught while the both of them were there. "Yes, I would enjoy that. I shall meet you at the The Ship, do you know of it?" He nodded. "Yes, the inn down the way. Very well." Remmie took Lilly's hand and kissed the wrist ever so lightly. "Until Saturday then." He smiled at Lilly. His was a smile of satisfaction! He took his hat in hand and was about to leave when the front door began to open...

Fort Zachary Taylor update for PIP 2007
Cheeky Actress replied to William Brand's topic in Fort Taylor
Ah, can't wait for next year's Black Beard Fest! It should be worth while just to see what sort of woman grabs hold of you for the evening - then watch the husband or beloved give you a nasty look for taking away his woman. Not to fret, Pet...I'll protect you! -

Most gruesome... and yes I remember remarking..."gruesome, but I am wearing my very best clothes and a brand new wig?!" .....And you kindly reminded me..."They mean your face Stupid!" Dear Cheeks, how could I forget....ahem... "Yes, I rather remember you paying far too much attention that evening to those around you...especially that Red Hair Har...(cough) woman in the corner... not to mention the numerous tankards of punch!" -

Confused and slightly irked. Tried to do something nice today, tried to be helpful, but instead ended up touching on that person's 'sore emotional spot ' and they misread my intentions...That person went completely mental. Sigh...sometimes I just don't understand why some people just won't forgive and let go.

This time of year is my downfall. Fresh apples, pumkin and all sorts of bake goods from them! Right now...a slice of Dutch apple pie...because it went so well with the apple cider and donut I just polished off.
