  1. You got to love those doctors... Mine told me I needed to schedule an emergency surgery to have my entire insides redistributed...he said two weeks, I said I was busy can it wait... he said, sure but you'll be dead in two weeks, you're already dying, your kidneys are shutting down... Nice... Then I nearly bled out on the table... "but we got things back under control just in time!" This coming from a guy who is the top in his field... glad I didn't go to number two....
  2. Well then Mate, ye best make haste... there be plenty of thirty folk here at the pub!
  3. I could tell ye a tale or two, but then ye'd be hot and bothered not ready for sleep...
  4. Ah in NY we had both at the hunts along with a stirrup cup
  5. Tuesday would be fine...keep me posted and I do hope all goes well with yer Mom!!
  6. Ye found a good place indeed. Many a fine pirate here, and not to mention the loveliest of ladies. Lots to do and plenty to learn. Welcome to the pub. First round is on you. Damnation Red Wake, how'd ye slip in, in front of me?
  7. She has a lovely face... what a cutie!!!
  8. Nothing yet, but he did make mention that he would be sending some things my way
  9. The small grill in the heavey door, grated on rusted hinges as it opened. Sterling, head bent downward, was not bothered by the light that was cast inward. "What is it?" a voice called, barely louder than a whisper. It struck Sterling as strange. Since when did guards whisper or slink about their own gaols, constantly looking over their shoulders where their prisoners were concerned? Lilly's words finally struck a cord. know that there be a man here in Port who seeks you out and he will cozen ye out of your life if ye let him. Battered head lifted enough for Sterling to glance quickly upward at the small opening. "If you cannot send me a doctor then I need you to give me some water. Some linen if you can. Please," he said, his own voice barely audible. There was a long pause on the outside. Sterling forced his body around and allowed it to slide down until he was sitting, his back supported by the door itself. "I shall see what I can do." The answer came to him, again but a whisper, before the small portal was once again slammed shut and secured. "Wait!!" Sterling shouted. "The old hag. She will do! At least allow her to return. She said she would come again to help me!" The portal opened quickly. "Hold yer tongue!!" the guard hissed. "Or I can do nothing to help you at all!"
  10. Oi Dutchie, I'm thinking, since you have the days off and I don't...any chance of you making either the Timberwood Grill or China King say by 1:30pm for a late lunch? Both are right off of 29. I could meet you then...either day is fine for me. I would really like to go over some of the stuff I briefly discussed with Cap'n Pern regarding the operation of the docks with militia and such... our crewe has a new character that I think would be perfect to introduce during this bit.
  11. I want a stress free life... snigger... with a gal I can trust...she would be the perfect choice for him since I write for her as well.
  12. Can ye please tell me WHAT is going on here?! I be not property nor chattel to be given away upon a whim?! Ney! I shall not marry Burke or any other man unless I fancy it so. Never said you had to marry him... besides from the looks of it, he won't be marrying anyone soon.
  13. damned if I do and damned if I don't so, I might as well be happy in either case... besides I want someone in my life I can trust.
