  1. There is one LARP-organization about pirates. The rest is all fantasy, more Lord of the Rings like. Anyway, it's nice to see them roleplay. At fantasy and Gothic faires they always participate.

All I meant about lucky Americans was, that you can choose out of so many festivals etc. and the weather is always more than fine!

  2. We try to suit the taste of lots of pirates, the rough and the captains and all in between.

We do have carneval here, but that means, heavy drinking, bad and cheap costumes, lots of noise (aka music), not our style.

    Maybe in the future!

    Thanks for your reply!

  3. You American Pirates are so lucky.

Here across the Atlantic in the cold Northern Sea there are no pirate festivals, no pirate games, a few shanties but more suited for the elderly, the pirate clothing is crap (only fancy dress), no nice pirate ships (only in musea).

If we do have the time and money we definitely have to come to California or Florida sometimes!

  4. We hope we'll get the Jack Sparrow coats in more colours to set an example how it would look like in f.e. black in wool. As soon as we know more, I will post it here.

The coat in wool is very different to the coat in linen. Also the colour of the coat gives the coat quite another character.

  5. The coats are not finished yet, but by request we could include those orders into our order at our tailor. We manage to copy the original as well as possible an to the taste of our customers. As soon as we get the coats, we'll put up pictures. The only difference is you can create your own Jack Sparrow coat by changing the colour of the coat. The sooner you order a coat, the sooner you receive your coat.

  6. We use Frontpage now and therefor changed the lay-out of our shop. Get rid of the cookies and try again. The index page shows very fast and the period clothing button also! Hope this works!

  7. The coats are available in black, burgundy, red and dark green with different trimmings (black or gold). We will start with black, red and burgundy in sizes L and XL, perhaps even XXL. Prices will be around € 230. They are a copy of Ludwig of Bavaria (from a paining). They are custom-made and delivery time will take 4 - 6 weeks. We hope to have them in a few weeks with more photographs, for coat and the different trimmings.

The waistcoats are black with gold trimmings as I remember. As soon as I know more, I will post it here!

Maybe we can arrange to have them made a Jack Sparrow coat as well. So, a very basic coat, brown or grey! And we hope a nice coachman's coat as well in future. We are always searching for special coats and hoping to satisfy your taste!

  8. I totally agree with you all. I like pirate style and those army look jackets. Why not wear them, in normal life.

My sister will make me a historically accurate pirate coat (but in yellow, my favourite colour) but I will also wear fantasy coats and other fashion. I just love wear something different than the rest does.

The coats of Kristi Smart are very beautiful, historically accurate or not. I just love the style!

And lady Pirate also! So, this is not only me!

But for those pirates, who wear only historically accurate stuff, have fun and enjoy!
