Call him..If ya get a ring tone..then the house is still most likely intact. So far it is estimated that 1200 homes have been lost. Most in out laying areas. I live in the inner city of San Diego... Just Smokey air here..Most employers have let folks off for the day to keep the roads clear for emergency viehecles... The turning point for the better draws near as the winds die down and the Santa Anna stops with a reverse of wind to west to east instead of off the deserts... We hope for this reversal of wind condidtions by night fall.

The theme is more about Woods Rodgers Adventures with the poor pirates being the reason for his being ! I like the Long John Silver series better. However to add as 'nother item for pirate media/memoribilia collection Eye still would recomend buying the Buccaneers ....

To call a spade a spade means to call things as they are, without Pretentions. Red Spade..No Quarter will be given. The wings...the warning is fleeting , given once before you die. The Skull and cross bones means eminant death. As Pirate flags were ment to instill fear in thier prey...if this flag flew on my ship it would say forthrightly without repeat that you will die

Eye went to A Mountain Man Rendezvous and had no idea that I would find this.. I doubted its authenticity so I sent these pics to an expert in the field..Her comments to me I find worth re-posting here because of the authenticity and possible health risks if precautions are not taken into account.

PIRATES OF POINT LOMA ********************* Comes to Old Town (San Diego) in October. World premiere Oct. 12, 2007 with previews beginning Oct. 5th. Presented at the Compadre Theatre at the Adobe Chapel, 3950 Conde Street in Old Town San Diego. San Diego may have been a sleepy backwater in 1850, while Northern California was running wild with gold-rush fever, but that didn’t stop the birthplace of California from producing its own band of genuine pirates, according to a couple of early San Diego writers. These pirates had a base on the west side of the Coronado Islands and they preyed on gold-laden sailing ships headed south from San Francisco. Or so goes the story. Pirates of Point Loma is a rousing good tale, suitable for family and visitors, featuring a half-dozen favorite sea shanties with new lyrics and lots of bloodthirsty action. Preview weekend is October 5th through Oct 7th with Pay-What-You-Can admission for performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6, and also at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Oct. 6 and 7. Reservations are suggested. Opens formally on Friday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. and continue weekend performances through October at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 4 and 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets available at 2476 San Diego Avenue at the SOHO Museum Shop or by calling (619) 297-7511. Seniors, children under 12 and military are $10, all others $15. Advance tickets are recommended.

The binding covers were cool and i almost ordered one till i read Ransoms note about the pages not being thick 'nough..

Eye found out about The Pirate Primer because of this thread and decided to order it. I have had it for a week now and had begun using it as Pew has suggested in bits and pieces of a pyrate yarn I have been spinning on ResSpace. I only wish it had some audio cd to accompany it so I could learnt the speachin farster..HArr Harr (Reading puts me to sleep)...

Non-traditional yet the symbolism is just as threatening. That was the purpose of pirate flag so EYE have read....to entreat fear in the hearts of men.

Eye am proud of this shot!
