  3. Those shoes would have been real nice to have by Pirate Con.. I have been wearing leather / rope sandles to get by. Eye never was into Sparrow bucket boots..Guess It be wise to ask to be put on the list. When I said tease I meant as if you could order them now as the impression I got from the original post.. I misread it . Apparently nothing is being marketed yet. When I saw GOFs web site..I really liked what I saw.. I compared the buckles to those offered on E-Bay which are rev-war...Then I looked at the source documents GOF provided a link to and did some further comparison..One buckle came close however is double latchet and is 1720's era so I will wait rather than have buyers remorse.
  4. This is obviously a tease! So Eye am going to a shoe maker myself with the pic of the shoe from the Whydah to see wot can be done.. Eye found alot of sites offering "Period Buckles" for shoes and two do it yourselfers, but nothing in the way of pirate shoe wear.. Just alot of Jack Sparrow Bucket boots..
  5. Eye see Rage Dragonbane has signed tha Articles... Welcome aboard mate!
  6. Eye recently joined the Maritime Museum as a volunteer rather than a pirate to learn seamanship.. while on the Star of India, the two weekends I've been, there were 'Pirate' birthday parties on board. The kids were dressed up to kill! AURRRggg I heard of the turnin the cheek to Pirates a while back along with some of the plans they have.. The curio store there is full of Piratey goodies.. They would indeed be doing a dis-service to the public in taking the fun away! I guess we were lucky to board the HMS Surprise in garb and have the ship to ourselve last Saturday nite to sword fight.. That will probably never happen again Aye Killian..Have fun at the Pirate Dinner theater !
  7. PIRATE CODE TO RE-Air For those who missed it the first time... "The Pirate Code", the show about the Whydah and Black Sam Bellamy, will air again on March 1st at 12 pm noon on the National Geographic Channel.

  11. For a banner 2ft. in hieght X 5ft. lenght = 10 sq ft. My wife works at Fed -> Ex Kinkos... She says it would cost $7.75 per square feet. Thats over $ 70.00.. EEEeerrr... :
  12. Eye am the Pirate one the left holdin up the Red Coat.. Still adding and trading up on pieces fer reenactor vs rennie... Am gettin close to getting period shoes. I only have rope sandles at this point. We still took tha ship reguardless!

  15. Eye went on You Tube and looked at videos of New Orleans French Quarter.. I saw the Pirates Alley cafe.. The cafe' Looked abit small for the crowd I believe will be there Sat. Nite of the Con. for the "Feast" But I'm sure accomadations will be made.. 750 persons were there last year..For PirateCon.. Eye think though it is tentiveley on the schedule you pay $20.00 to partake in the Rum "tasting" ...Look at the PirateCon site... It says you taste three different types of rum and then get to choose one bottle for that price. during the Feast ... There is a paypal button on the web site for this.
