We (Stranghlehold) Summarily executed Sponge Bob Square Pants. The charges varied from being annoying to stealing a cucumber! eagh eagh.. We escorted him through the shire anouncing "MAKE WAY FOR THE PRISSONER" on the way to the Archery range where he were tied to hay bails and filled with arrows.. Next year I think we will do the same to "BARNEY" that really annoying purple fella..

The Group that were mentioned of stealing Jack Sparrows sword and putting him in the stocks was the Alliance of the Double Cross headed by Grey Dog.. I was the one who kept that Jack busy while his sword was being lifted...That was the beginning of the end for that Jack! Whence he took the hint that he showed up at our gate and was seized by members of the Alliance..for the stocks..

I very much appreciate the replies about saftey of firing cannon..Perhap some one might post a video link of the right way to fire a cannon.. Side Note...The Pictures abourd the California Vs the HMS Surprise are "Maritime Musuem" Qualified to do what we see... I was an Observer with no experience firing ships guns... It is obvious that they are not conciously aware of the points brought up...personnally I think it is important enough to copy Costies & Hawkins reply and write a letter to the San Diego Maritime Museum and challange there saftey practices in exibition to the public on board. Maybe they will rethink the way they fire guns on board.

As alot of people whom frequent this board come to learn.. Perhaps you might be more Specific that we learn the right way Mr. Hawkyns. What is it you see that is being done wrong... Go ahead .. give us a broadside!

As a member of Stranglehold , We Hail from San Diego, I concur... Stranglehold helps provide a piratical presents at faire and we interact with the public as individuals and as a group for the pre-battle shows.. Admittley the bits we do need a little more wit to be funny. We do gate list duties as other groups and on occasion I will greet Rumba from accross the way. Being in a group is as a much more richer experience than being a "Plunderer" at a faire... It is a drama in it self... The quartermaster Come to Escondito Ren fair and go to the Pirates cove to meet us...

A two pound swivel gun aft on the Californian Theses were in the battle against the Surprise as well The HMS Suprise giving us a volley broadside OMG that was a fun day!

We shot this Cannon last week end at Ojai.. Fun it is to wield such a powerful gun.. I'm just learning about them myself.

I am reaching for my inspiration of being a well rounded experienced Pirate, so here I finally got to be a part of a battery of men to fire off a members Cannon of the Alliance of the Double Cross. Was a real hoot fer muah !... Now Eye want one! LOL
