  1. Ahoy there Shipmates, Sorry for the intrusion but as some of you have noticed, the Pub has an intermittent glitch. No one has reported losing anything, just periodic sluggishness, irregular crashes and server error screens. Rather than waiting around until things get worse, I'm going to move us over to a new web server. For most of you this will mean absolutely nothing since you didn't even know there was a problem. And with any luck, none of you will even know we've moved. Ideally it will be a painless transition for us and everything should run faster in the end. But since it is a move to all new hardware - there's bound to be some glitches and maybe even some down time. If by chance the move turns disastrous - make sure to check in at our Sister site, Black Syren's Ye Olde Tavern, I'll be keeping everyone posted as to what's going on in Black Syren's Ye Olde Tavern > Pyracy Pub Status & Support Thread. Happy New Year! 2. This a great shot - Cheeky sort of doing a classic Marilyn Monroe pose - The Seven Year Itch . . . but sitting down.
  3. Any suggestions on that? I know how t' soften up leather, me preference be pine sap 'n bee's wax. But how t' "prevent furhter degradation" without turn'n such a old lass int' mush? As ye can see th' inside took quite a beat'n, most likely from what lovely stuff we love t' fill our pistol 'n cannon with. Is there somethin' perhaps what museums use t' stop time, without try'n t' add youth? Definitely a 'KEEPER' rather then scrap! It's just such a cool piece - literally a slice of history that you are able to put your hands on. . . . I'll give ya $5.00 for it to take the burden off your hands. Actually I would suggest calling or running it down to your local museum for help on restoration or saving what is left and preventing further decay. Also take some more pictures, make a pattern and try to make yourself one, that thing is so cool. But I want to see the pistol now.
  4. Oi Look Again! Yep I'm there sitting on the bench to your left - turned away from the camera.
  5. Was I even there when this picture was taken, or had I wandered off before wandering back again? I kind of get the feeling like I met Brig at some point. . . maybe.
  6. No he wouldn't.... Stynky would do better than that.... He'd sell the chain fer $20.00 and steal yer hat, then get someone to buy him a bottle O' mead...... Well depending on the length of chain - I would try an sell it for more I think. . . I mean come on Patrick - between you and me, one bottle a mead ain't going very far.
  7. Silkie, PM me your address.
  8. Nobody needs to steal your hat. You said you'd sell your own mother - God bless her soul- for $20. (I remember.)Do you mean to tell me that Stynky actually owns a hat of his own, and doesn't simply "stop the music" when one lands on his head? I kind of figured that he shuffles hats around until he finds one that fits and then slinks off into the night to sell it for more mead. Actually Mission, I don't need to sell my Mom - she's a good resource. She's a bit OCD and cleans house real well, I just realized that I can rent her out for mead money periodically. It's amazing what she can find in a couch. But Jim - isn't that how it's done? Wait around for the music to stop - then wandering off with the hat on your head, the tankards closest to you and the occasional bone saw. *sigh* And people don't think us American's get British humor. Ha ha ha, You Brits are so delightful! I know I already said that to you on MySpace Sorry but the, Oh I gave it to Somebody thing, really doesn't become you. There's no need to pawn your thievery off on poor Braze - I've already been to his house and gotten all the stuff he stole from me. Really it's okay, I'm not mad at you anymore - it's a fair cop - just admit it.
  9. You can always check on the Pub's status and find out what's happening at Black Syren's Ye Old Tavern. 10. Oh Jim I'm sure you met her, she's the cute little blond with the horribly fake British accent. Nikki, you really need to work on that for next year. You should try watching stuff like the BBC, Monty Python, Doctor Who and Benny Hill. The accent that you have now - sounds like you're from Orange County and that you watch a lot of West Wing. OMG - just look at that little minx, she stole my hat!
  11. And when you realize that the safest place to be is surrounded by alla those Pyrates......... kinda weird... but true...... Yes - Even for Key West - it's a weird sensation feeling and knowing that the safest place to be in the whole frick'n world, was that tiny spot of remote beach, surrounded by a bunch of thugish lunatics with guns, knives and swords that have some bizarre pyrate dress-up fetish. . . I still don't fully comprehend it.
  12. After I put Mission's real tankard in the mail - I'm sewing the lining into my new waistcoat. . . well actually I've got to finish the pockets first. Oh and I'm also looking for a Cobbler to re-soul my lachets.
  13. HAPPY BEERTHDAY to ya CHAIN SHOT!
  14. I look across the room and giggle at seeing some of the things I stole.
  15. Jim, PM me you address. . .
  16. No problem shipmate! Has it actually arrived yet? Did it get there safely? It arrived. I put it with all the other unopened boxes of stuff from PiP. (That way everything is conveniently packaged so I can just send it back down next November. Come to think of it, I may as well have left all that stuff there and saved myself the postage...) Um. . . you want to open it.

  18. $80. buck?!? Damn! Sounds like he could teach me something. . . I mean, um sure, I would be more than happy to instruct the young lad for a percentage. Looks like I may have ta wander up to Hampton.
  19. Ahoy there Kate, I can't get a sense of scale - what sort of size are they? Serving spoons or regular table - tea spoons?
  20. I have photos...lol oh yeah everyone has photos of Stynky embracing ,,ahh lets see... Dastardly (Diosa), Bawdy, Sheila, Scarlett...ahh I'm sure I could go on.. I thought of making you a banner but I don't think all the women will fit ;P

  21. I'm sorry to hear that most of you missed seeing the Callahan's pictures before they went offline - they are fantastic! - Especially the pictures of me. Their bandwidth is likely eaten up for the month - a combination of use, the uploading to their images for us to see and then everyone mobbing the site to see the images. I know the Callahans are out of town for the holidays - I'll give them a call to harass and order them to stop spending time with their "real" family and get their butts in gear and fix this right away!
