  1. I have little to no experience when it come to cannons, so obviously I don't know what I'm talking about here. Though I believe the guys I've chatted up at events use 1F and 2F, depending on the gun and powder availability - but then again we're not doing live fire and launching a payload isn't an issue.
  2. I’ve shot 2F in both my flintlock and snaphance, it's a bit too course - I've always thought of it more as cannon powder. Given your piece though, the caliber and payload - it’s totally understandable. I think most of us here shoot 3F. Except for special cases, I don’t think most of us use wadding during reenactments – makes a mess of the field and can become a potential projectile.
  3. Welcome Aboard Pyrate Joe! Not that I have an answer to your question, but to William's point about state laws and city ordinances - in California it seems that just about anything you carry ( concealed or not ) can be called into question and left to the discretion of local law enforcement.
  4. What made you decide to use FFg - as opposed to FFFg?
  5. Wait - Who have you been talking to? I've never said anything about meeting those people before. Ok I guess I just did, but I don't even like Star Trek, I mean Star Wars. . . well maybe I do just a little bit. Seriously though, you guys are how old and dressing up in costumes that you can hardly sit down in. . . of course what we do here is completely different.
  6. It seems to be working - not that anyone wanted to chat with me either. . .
  7. Thanks Oderless, but I actually understand how many grains were used. My question is about what F powder Reign used - since 1F or 2F fires completely different from how 4F or FFFF loads and fires.
  8. Reign, At 200 grains of powder - what F are you using?
  9. Well yeah. . . but it's not like Alabama is that far away, plus I didn't think you guys respected boarders. Anyway sorry, my mistake. Your name seemed familiar and I thought I might have met you.
  10. It seems that I saw a period diagram that included carriage measurements and math related to the size of the gun. . . I'm not sure if I saw it online or if I have that in a book somewhere. In any case I'll give a look around, but you should contact Mister Duncan McGuyver - I've seen him go from a lowly Deck Swab to a Master Gunner and would likely to be great source of help.
  11. It took me a minute before I figured out what you were going on about, but now I see the various images we've posted that had a specific background color. . . that we don't, um ah, use anymore.
  12. Oi Mister Bungle, Were hanging out with the 501st this past week-end in Georgia?
  13. DOH! Oh come on, they haven't really changed. . . not really - they've just been shuffled around a bit. :::clearing throat::: "Riiiight" Alright, we did do the nose, and the hat, but. . .
  14. Frickin Brilliant Tutorials!
  15. Sorry Captain, Had somebody helping me with an unrelated webserver issue and they decided we didn't need that choice. . . working to fix it - I like that feature too.
  16. DOH! Oh come on, they haven't really changed. . . not really - they've just been shuffled around a bit.
  17. jendobyns, I went through our logs and found the related errors - it's looks to have happened a lot. I'm currently looking for the cause and a fix. Please continue to post in this thread every time you have an error.
  18. The wishes Diosa De Cancion a Happy, Happy Beerthday! . . . beerp
  19. A Belated Happy Beerthday to ya Kelly!
  20. Like most art, not to mention the Pub - I like seeing the progression of process. It just makes everything that much more cool.
  21. As annoying as this Error Message is - it's important to mention them. Though right now I'm prone to write it off as an annoying but simple hiccup – I suspect it’s a momentary lapse syncing authorization keys. . .or we could blame it on Mission just because. In any case, I’ll check the error logs and see if I can find out anything.
  22. I believe that this is the document that Iron John is talking about. . . PyracyModeratorArticles I believe it’s an intermediate conversation Mission and I were having about the need for Moderator Guidelines – the red text are my comments to his draft. The file you accessed was in the Pyracy.com root directory along with a couple public directories. One contained images from Rogues Gallery and the other contained signature images - you were ( or should have been ) locked out of everything else. . . at least I was on my other test computer.
