  1. Someone get me a cigar! And where's my pink tutu?
  2. Wow, these are amazing finds William! Thank you.
  3. Happy Birthday to Mission . . .but I want my mug back
  4. 8?8! 8 out of how many members here? What a bunch of wankers! Tossers! Crouching masturbators! But that's just my opinion. Tossers! I heartily agree! This pub seemed much more social before it was so big. You'd think a large group of us would be able to get together on a somewhat non-secular gift exchange based more around breaking the law of the sea than any established religion. Then again, how many pirates really like to give stuff away willingly (except to exotic girls in accommodating ports)? I guess it's just us few, superior gentlemen (and women) who will hopefully escape the noose due to this trifling show of goodwill towards each other. Arrrgh! Not wanting to spam everybody, I've been reluctant to make use of the onboard PM broadcast message system. Not that it's anybody's fault ( except maybe mine ), I think our Secret Santa Gift Exchange may suffer from a lack of promotion. Next year if Duchess takes on the thankless job, we'll send a PM to everyone's message box and post a simple announcement banner in the forums. . . maybe even make an advertisement banner.
  5. Sorry Grymm, I set up the Pub to require file extensions - it helps protect us against spoofs, virus and malware attacks.
  6. Thanks to all me Shipmates! Though the time spent in Key West and at Fort Taylor wasn't near long enough, it all made for a wonderful birthday.
  7. Hey, very fun - what are you using to illustrate with?
  8. It's a sad day for us all. Not just because a ship is gone that so many of us have come to love and play Pyrates on, but that two of her crew have gone missing in the storm while trying to keep this bit of history a live. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounty_%281960_ship%29
  9. Happy Beerthday to ya Mister Lasseter!
  10. Aye, I be in for doing it again this year - count me in!
  11. Patrick, have you ever thought about submitting a comix book to Fantagraphics?
  12. Speaking from experience, I have a pistol I’ve taken down a similar road. First the frizzen needed to be hardened, later a new bridle fabricated. Then through inexperience and stupidity, I broke my own main spring. Needless to say, Cascabel is pretty familiar with this pistol now. . . Some years later we did a major tear down and rebuild of the piece. Cascabel retouched everything, tuned the lock and tweaked as needed – beveled the lock plate, moved everything over to a restyled gun stock . . . Considering all the modifications I’ve done over the years, I’m afraid to think what I’ve spent – but it is easily several times over the $250 I initial spent on the pistol.
  13. Just wear it doing your usual pyrate duties, to break it in so to speak. Then give it a good brushing, another steam to close the fibers, another coat of shellac now and again - that should do the trick I think.
  14. Aye, Well done Mister Dutchman! . . . and thanks for the credit.
  15. Pub was down for a short time yesterday evening, EST, our database server was giving us a bit of trouble. All should be fixed now. . . Please let me know if you have any problems.
  16. A Belated but Happy Beerthday Shipmate!
