  1. Yes, you are correct - that is indeed what happens and what you should be seeing at the moment. That will change though, we're still wrestling with some issues as a result of the recent software update. Once things settle down and we've got those fixed, then we'll work at breaking the Pub due to a new graphic layout. But Everybody, please chime in and and let us know of anything that isn't working the way you think it should.
  2. Sorry if this reply is a bit late for your trip, but I've packed swords in my "checked" luggage with out any problems - Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baltimore, Florida.
  3. I'm so sorry Duchess, but you haven't a say in the matter - you are damned to this task for entirety. . . and your efforts are greatly appreciated.
  4. Aye, Welcome Aboard Mate! You guys look great. You have tell us a bit more about what you do and when you do it.
  5. Oh. . . um, Happy Beerthday Mister Hand!
  6. Aye Welcome Yarself Aboard!
  7. And a Happy Beerthday ta Mister Oderlesseye!
  8. It was actually the hour and a half long premiere episode. It'll be interesting to see where it goes and what they give us next week. The little I've seen so far definitely has me hooked.
  9. As for discussion threads, you're in the right place. I think there's always interest in replica pistols that are based on actual pieces, even when our pocketbooks can't match the cost. Do you have pictures by chance that you can share waxes, reference pieces, the pistols you own? And of course a best guestimate of costs is always good know. In any case, Welcome Aboard!
  10. That "first civilization" stuff really puts me off as well and I think what they've done to the Brig is ridiculous - that's the kind of stuff that's been keeping me away. So now that you two have been playing it for a while, what do you think? Is it still getting good marks?
  11. Other than myself, does anyone else have plans to watch to TURN on AMC tomorrow Sunday, April 6? http://www.amctv.com/shows/turn
  12. It's no secret that Facebook took a bite out of our traffic. But unlike Pyracy Pub, Facebook can't hold on to conversation (at least not right now) instead it gives us, short frenetic bursts of communication that quickly get lost and drops beneath the waves. You might not see a lot of obvious activity on Pyracy Pub, but we have a huge readership and steady growth. We get between 1 and 3 new registered users a week and another 1 or 2 through Facebook. There are a large number of unregistered lurkers that heavily access content, from Captain Twill to The Skull and Quill Society props to Mad Jack Wolfe and Honour Bright for El Lobo Del Mar and William Brand for The Watch Dog. Some percentage of that automated crawlers and search engines. In February of 2013, Pyracy.com hit her 10 year anniversary and we're still here. And as stupid of a financial decision as it might be, I don't have any plans of shutting her down. If nothing else, Pyracy.com hangs it hat on conversations that you can refer back to, community and persistence.
  13. A belated Welcome and glad to 'ave you aboard.
  14. As always, tis good ta see mate.
  15. Another Belated Beerthday Captain Oatmeal!
  16. This sucks. . . . and a belated Happy Birthday by the way.
  17. Though I couldn't make this 2013, I've come to think of Fort Taylor as me own beerthday celebration as well - we need to get together and cause some trouble next year.
  18. A belated welcome back darling.
  19. If a fiction author you be, you'll either find yourself camaraderie or at odds with The Skull & Quill Society, while authors of a more academic persuasion can be found loitering in the shadows of Captain Twill. All be considered dangerous waters, but no mater the case, participate and have yourself a good time. As abrasive (or abusive) as some of us may be, (not that I name names - Duchess), our bark is often worse than our bite and with a little bit of humor and the help of a few (full) pints, any man jack can be pleasant enough company when need be. Welcome aboard Ladd.
