  1. Today's special is beef stroganoff ...and orange julius. It's my place and I'll serve crazy combos if I want to. Doesn't an orange julius sound really good right now?
  2. Don't mention it. And don't mention my atrocious butchery of the French language. Je laisserai la bouteille.
  3. You're welcome, lass. I have connections.
  4. Seconded. This is a higly informative book on the life of ship's surgeons.
  5. Poutine? Mais, naturellement! Plus a slice of meat pie, pecan pie and a glass of red wine.
  6. Interestingly enough, in the abscence of a purser or quartermaster, the captain was often responsible for these duties. Captain William Bligh was the Bounty's purser, due to the lack of any other officers on board. He was responsible for selling additional goods and services during the voyage. He did so without any profit to himself. Bligh didn't want to cause any warm feelings or irritation by exacting high profits for the sale of certain extra items. He stated that his commision was enough.
  7. Today's specials are all French Canadian... Quebec Toutiere Boulettes -Au Pore (Pork meat balls) Buche de Noel Roast pork and Graisse de Roti and Pecan Pie, because I like pecan pie.
  8. Steak smothered in italian seasonings and garlic with a side of green beans.
  9. The ship's master has offered me the position of Master-at-arms. This is a lower warrant officer rank generally reserved for an able seaman with experience as a marine. However, since his invitation is most gracious and he flatters me with the confidence of the request, I shall except the offer. Now, to the maintenance and storage of the arms.
  10. A Killian's Irish Red for the lady... And a glass of cold water for the dried out pirate.
  11. Most of the chowder is gone, but I have bisque and scallops left. And here is that guinness.
  12. Have as much as you like. Or as much as prudence allows.
  13. I see the place runs itself in my absence. Tonight's specials are... A fine Lobster Bisque served with hot bread. Bacon wrapped scallops. and a nice clam chowder. A toast! To my first entire year here at the Pub. May there be a half dozen more at the very least! Aye.
  14. Please remember to tip the fiddler.
  15. There you go. Now...let's have a fiddler in here!
  16. there you go Diego. One...something-or-other.
  17. Well, isn't it obvious? They're...well...they're... ...hmmm. (scratches head) Alcohol?
