  1. In short, yes and yes. There isn't roleplaying per se, but there are forms of it under multiple threads. Some people play their roles non-stop, so you'll find versions of role play throughout, but specifically under the The Skull & Quill Society in the Fiction section as well as the Beyond Pyracy forum and the Pyrate Pop section. Art may be shared under the Arts of Pyracy section of the Pub. -William
  2. If you don't make it, expect a lot of calls from Key West. I'll pass the phone around when everyone is good and sauced.
  3. Set it aside and I'll have it later. In the meantime, welcome aboard.
  4. A very happy birthday, Mister Roberts. May it prove eventful, memorable, profitable and entertaining.
  5. I can testify to our good doctor's ability to remove things. I cannot recommend it...but I can testify to it.
  6. Liam is only four and Aeva will only be 18 months. Trust me. You could bring her along and she would have her share of children to associate with if you decide to.
  7. Amador Pessoa stood at his post, one of only a few men armed to guard the decks of the Navarra. It was a distracting business to stand guard over the very men who had probably orchestrated the death of his kinsman only a few hours previous. He proved to be a very poor guard that evening, for he found himself returning to the task at hand again and again, for he couldn't keep his mind from wandering. One moment his thoughts would be bent to some foul murder or unanswered question. Then he would return to himself; his hands gripping the musket too tightly. He cussed under his breath. One of the few men he considered a friend happened by with half a rum ration. "Your watch libation." Pessoa eyed it without much interest at first, then he took it at once with a strange suddenness. He smelled it suspiciously. His friend simply raised an eyebrow and made his way to the next guard. Pessoa smelled it some three times more before he poured it over the side. This was witnessed by a confused fellow forward. Pessoa sent him a look that told the man to mind his own business. The man did. Pessoa returned to his distraction.
  8. The Tavern is inside the fort, unless they've changed it from last year. Unless something has changed, sutlers are allowed to camp in the fort. They usually have a food vendor with a good variety inside the fort. That said, I would still watch for Spike's announcements coming up in July for any changes and specifics.
  9. It's been the long term hope of the attending pirates and the planners at the fort to have more vendors selling material goods specific to the period theme. I for one would welcome another period sutler.
  10. Just attend the Walk the Plank portion of the event and you'll get a bath and do your laundry at the same time.
  11. I've showered using the beach showers both years that I've attended. Very cold. Very public. Very late at night.
  12. A big thanks to everyone who has ordered already. They've agreed to let me extend the order by two more weeks.

  14. Spike has just confirmed hot showers provided by Callenish and there are public restrooms at two locations in the park. We get to know one another. We attend PIP events around town. There are numerous museums. Some of us are going snorkeling. You can take trips on the Schooner Wolf and other boats. There's a lot to do.
  15. What's a hot shower...? Brimstone hail?
  16. It's easy to find makers of classic brooms. There are numerous Amish broom makers online. Here are just two of the many links I've found... http://www.hensonbrooms.com/handmade-brooms.html http://www.cohassetcolonials.com/catalog/v...ace-Broom/42C33
  17. This is the tatoo thread with the most quoted information. It's important to read it carefully, as it has a lot of conjecture and opinion in addition to good hard evidence. http://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=11280&st=0
  18. Welcome aboard the Mercury, Abigail Roughnight. We will gladly number you among our own. May I have your husband's name?
  19. Welcome aboard. Would you and your half dead, dragged husband like to be listed with the Mercury or are you affiliated elsewhere?
  20. Girl with a Broom by Rembrandt. The Love Letter by Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675)
  21. In this painting (Bruegel Proverbs, 1559) you can see the broom sticking out the window in the upper left hand corner of the image.
