  5. I think the intent is that being an active pirate you are under the threat of death if you are caught...so why not dress in the plundered clothes you take from your victims. Keep what you take....Give nothing back! KP
  6. I took Hurricane's advice and put the one on a T-shirt and a woman's top but it took me about three hours to clean up the pencil drawing to get the psd quality...but it was fun. Here is what it looks like on the shirt. Arrrgh! Matey

  9. I think it would be Jean Lafitte....Sailor, navigator, pirate, hero, gentleman, and businessman who could blend in with New Orleans and Galveston citizenry and like Morgan he rubbed elbows with Governors and Generals. He was at home with common sailors or high society. A unique fellow for his trade Fair Winds Kin's Pyrate

  13. The leather is very soft, I would think that they would not be for everyday wear but would last well for pirate and fair events. I bought the small ones and they rub my ankle a little so I have been wearing them around the Cabin and quarterdeck (house...lol) to break them in, hoping that I will suffer no discomfort at my up coming 5 hour book signing event. I have been wearing the knee high boots but the hot Florida weather was a killer....I am hoping these lower topped boots will be a little cooler. They look like what people think a pirate should be wearing. Besides I find people at these events stretch their imagination to see what they want to see...for example here in St. Augustine, when one of the re-enactors from the Castillo de San Marcos walks down St. George Street in his Spanish soldier's uniform, all the tourist call out...”look at the Pirate"....Only the historical enthusiast care about accuracy. Fair Winds KP

  17. I hope he is ok too...my son and his family are in Hattisberg where the eye went through...We can not get hold of them, when we call the area code of his phone number we only get static.......There are a lot of hurting people over there right now.
