New year new occasions to meet and go do some noise somewhere , for what I have seen the TX ppl want to meet but nobody takes the first step so here it goes.

What is the first faire/gathering coming up? is it Pirate Week in NOLA? who's going to be there ? me and the Capt are in the weekend so if you are planning send me a message and we can go from there.

Ahoy, and Well Met, Fair Lass. My lady and I are from Orange, Tx, and I too lament the lack of Pyratical happenings around this area. There is always Contraband Days in Lake Charles, La. in late April / early May, and the Swashbucklers Soiree in Galveston, coming up on July 21 and 22, 2012.

The Galveston Arts (Arrrrts?) Center will be hosting it's 5th annual Swashbucklers Soiree on July 21 and 22 at The Texas Seaport Museum. It starts at Sangerfeld park on The Strand with a concert by The Bilge Pumps from 12:00 'till 3:00. After that, you can stroll the Strand Historical District with other pirate minded folks, tour the Tall Ship Elissa, or explore the Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast! museum. The Soiree continues at 6:00 at the Seaport Museum with another Bilge Pump performance, a silent auction, a raffle for a 4-day trip to Key West, and free food and drink catered by the Galveston Restaurant Group, Landshark Lager, and Railean Rum. We went last year and had a blast.

Sorry I'm just now answering your reply, but things have been a little busy round my home port. Thank you for the information. I found out shortly after I posted this that this event has been cancelled. I am however looking forward to more events in the future.

Ahoy, me 'earties! I be hearin' o' this 'ere Pirate Invasion o' tha Port o' Granbury in Texas, but cannot seem ta find confermation on the truth o' said event. Any other o' you seafarers out there be hearin' the same rumors?

Aye, an' this Buccaneer sends an invite to all piracy minded individuals to sail on down to the fair city o' Lake Charles, Louisiana from April 26th thru May 8th for Contraband Days 2011. A fine time shall be had by all.
