  1. Why not see how many people you now have who want one and then I am sure most of us dont mind paying for them in advance, then you won't have to save as much.

  7. This is a Brown real leather 2" wide sword baldric with a square brass buckle, suitable for Pirate re-enactment, theatre or LARP costumes. It is inspired by the one seen in a drawing of Thomas Tew the famous 17th Century Pirate. The baldrics frog can hold both a sword and a bayonet together $87 http://www.etsy.com/listing/61485331/the-thomas-tew-leather-pirate-sword
  8. This is a Dark Brown real leather one and a half inch wide sword Belt with a decorative buckle and brass belt tip, suitable for Pirate re-enactment, theatre or LARP costumes. It is inspired by the one seen in a drawing of Henry Every the famous 17th Century Pirate. The belt is made from split leather so it has a rougher surface than finished leather. It features a large curved sword frog decorated with 3 rivets that will hold most sizes of sword. This belt cant also be made in other colors. Contact me to discuss what you are after if you need it customising. $60 http://www.etsy.com/...er-pirate-sword

  13. A set of 4 Documents relating to Henry Every known as the Grand or Arch Pirate. They are the following: The Proclamation issued by the Lords Justices of England offering a reward for the capture of Henry Every and his Crew. The Proclamation issued by the Rhode Island Assembly notifying the provinces Magistrates and Ministers of their intent with regards to the above Proclamation. A copy of the Letter left by Henry Every himself notifying English Captains of His intentions towards them and warning them of a French Raiding party. And finally an approximation of what a Wanted poster might have looked like for Henry Every (based on the ones shown in Cutthroat Island). $40 http://www.etsy.com/...ry-document-set

  17. yeah i know although I have only seen a couple of examples of a chain one the majority are connected by a wire.
  18. I've seen quite a lot of evidence of chained and wired musket shot on various shipwreck sites from the era. At first I thought it must have just been something quite rare but they seem to find a lot of the things.
  19. My Blackbeard outfit for the v-bay festival in the Isle of Wight this weekend Yeah i know i got boots on but its bloody freezing over here in the UK at the moment
  20. This is a fully customisable broadsheet anouncing the Last Speech and Dying Words of a person hanged for Piracy. The text is taken from an actual document from 1719 from a sailor proclaiming his innocence saying he was forced to join a pirate crew rather then joined of his own free will. The name of the accused can be changed to your own (or anyone elses you want) plus you can name the Captain of the ship you originally sailed with, The name of the ship you were originally on and the Pirate whose crew you were "forced" to join (I will adjust the dates to the right period for the pirate you want). Available at my etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/...peech-and-dying
  21. Finally got me an etsy shop for me maps and such http://www.etsy.com/shop/lettersofmarqueuk
  22. I've just bought the book "Occupational Costume in England from the 11th Century to 1914" by Phillis Cunnington and Cathrine Lucas and it has a section on Seamen and Fisherfolk. It seems that Fishermen from at least circa 1616 wore mittens similar to these 18th century Knitted Mittens: They are shown in a picture from the Guild Hall Library in London of the Lord Mayor's Day pageant of the Fishmongers Company in 1616. The book also states that, as Foxe said above, the Naval contract of 1706 mentions Grey woollen mittens at sixpence a pair This is a picture of a pair of mittens used by whalers that are covered in rope to make them stronger (although theres no date on these and I believe whaling was more popular in later times):
  23. I've got screen grabs I took of it for one I made. I'll try and find them out.
