  3. A match case like the one below was carried by grenadiers on their baldrics. Not sure when these came onto the scene but heres some pictures of what they look like: I always wonder what kind of fuse the grenadoe had. I have seen references that said it was just cloth but i assume there was also such a thing as a fuse around that time?
  4. This Cannon was at a Fort I visited in Spain. No idea if the carriage is original or not but it looks like it is.

  14. I'm off to visit the Royal Armouries in Leeds (UK) just after xmas so i'll keep me eye out for any spanish looking cannons while i am there and get photos if there is anything.

  19. I was on there this morning and couldnt find them in the collections search either Theres a really good book that for the most part is the log of a 1700 ship. It's called "The Forgotten Trade by Nigel Tattersfield"
  20. Just incase theres anyone else in the UK doing this, the last day to post stuff to the USA that will get there before xmas is the 10th. We get stung for import duty on parcels too but as long as the customs label reads a value of less than $28 we dont have to pay it.
  21. The cutlass is very nice. I saw a few similar ones in the Armoury in Malta when I was over there.
