What great ideas and those be some beautiful pieces. Many, many years ago I took an old wooden wine box and made a few alterations to it to hold my oils and brushes. I haven't worked in oils for about 30 years now.
Of late, I've been playing with photography. It's a much quicker medium with very little clean up. To relax I enjoy working with wood and I can never resist restoring an old piece back to it's original glory. I also do jewelry pieces in precious and semi-precious stones when the mood hits.
