I just finished watching a documentary on History 2 channel called Pirate Island. It was about Madagascar shipwrecks. Good viewing...made me wonder what other pirate documentaries people have seen. I saw the Whydah exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota when it was in town, and the same guy who discovered that shipwreck is the person this Pirate Island documentary follows.

I'm going to shameless introduce my book, The Bryant Family Chronicles: Death and Gold in Zara Zote. The book has multiple storylines -- one in the present and one in 1715. It's not your typical pirates and a treasure hunt story. Its got lots of great reviews and is a 2011 winner in the Readers Favorite Awards. You can find out more at the website: www.deepseapublishing.com. I'm working on Book 2 and Book 3 now. I'm actively looking for material for these books. I look for Pirate legends and mysteries to weave into the storylines. This site looks like a good source for characters as well. I'm excited about this site find and look forward to going to some of the events I've seen posted. If you read the book, let me know how you like it.
