I drew this around Halloween several years ago. about that time, I came across a wonderful rendition of 'The Dark Lady' by the Rambling Sailors on Youtube, and became enthralled with it. Thus this Ghost ship done as a seasonal drawing for Halloween on Deviantart, become Baron La Bonne's ship-

Again This Pirate ship of the line of French origin had an excessive story about her. I reversed my usually favored color combo of black hull, red sails and based the quartergalleries loosely on those in a drawing of a ship near the end of one of my books. I drew her at a time when I was enthralled with ships of the line under pirate command after seeing screenshots for Pirates of the Burning Sea but being unable to play the game. I realize now in re-examining her, she'd likely be top-heavy, I still like the design though.-

I wrote a whole elaborate story about this French ship. I designed her rig after the HMS Mordaunt. I have seen the crescent shaped blades on her yards depicted in a couple of my books. As near as the the author could tell, they were likely used to slice through rigging of ships coming alongside to board -
