This is a replica of the Rewards given for capturing pirates proclamation issued by A. Spotswood the then Governor of Virginia in 1718. It specifically mentions Blackbeard and is particularly relevant as it was Governor Spotswood who hired the sloops that were used to trap Blackbeard.
