While exploring the maritime museum, and surrounding area on a trip to San Francisco, during the NorCal Pirate festival- we came upon this strange store- part high end clothing store, part maritime museum- only these items were for sale!
The beckets are fascinating, I have been told they were the pinnacle of the sailors art- and oftentimes took 2 or 3 years to finish! Looking at them up close, it is almost impossible to imagine how these were constructed. Amazing.

Other fascinating items include a seaman's chest with a finely knotted fringe, and a ship's wheel, mounted on a curious wooden cabinet, and several ship's models.
Along with Sailor Jerry clothing as well.
