This is a companion thread to Ransom's Nor Cal Diary. If you'd like to post comments about my diary thread, please, feel free to make them here. I will be adding pictures and journal entries to the Diary thread over the next couple of days. It was one of the best times I have ever had at an event, and my first experience at learning to sail.

My Nor Cal experience was just so full and exciting that a few posted pictures wouldn't be enough to describe it. So, with a nod to Mission and his PIP journals, I decided to post my much shorter version of a diary, with pictures. It may take me a few days to get it all posted, but here goes... Friday June 19, 2009 Richmond to Vallejo on board the Aldebaran. Chain Shot and I were given the privilege of being part of the crewe which would sail the 72' schooner Aldebaran from Richmond to Vallejo, where she would take part in the two afternoon gun battles with the shore battery and the British. We would also be part of the gun crewes for those battles. Red-Handed Jill …

We've got lots of fun stuff planned in the Tales of the Seven Seas camp - beware or some of you may end up married! (Heh.) If you would like to be married, we will have a bower and minister available - schedule a time and it can happen! Patrick Hand will be on, ummm, hand to add that Airship Pyrate je ne sais quoi to our camp on Sunday. Show up in your steamy best and hang out in our Airship Pyrate encampment. Ransom and Chain Shot will be joining us yet again on Aldebaran to fire cannons at all of ye landlubbers during the cannon battle. This is always a pretty exciting - a…

Ok, let me explain somethings before I actually post about this. First, my main objective with the "Council" is to have all of the serious pirates/reenactors from the midwest group together as one solid union. This isn't about crews and who's crew is better, it's about what we can all do if unified as one to get the midwest the attention that the coasts and other areas get. Let's face it, we don't see much action out here @ Port Washington, pretty much the same people from the year before, which is fine. Seeing old faces is always a good time. However, we need fresh blood out here. Anyway, before I babble on too much... First, the swap meet, I don't know where we can d…

For the past 5 years I have done a free kids game at the Minnesota Renniassance Festival. For the first time in a few years I have the weekend open for Port Washington Pirate Festival and I'd like to bring the game to share. I am having no luck contacting the organizers. The first fellow I dealt with stepped down from his role with the Port Washington Pirate Festival. The person he suggested I contact has not returned my emails (with photos of the kids game). Just wondered if any of you are "in the know" of who I should contact. Note: I am not asking for any money, just permission.
