Some of you are already aware of Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze: http://www.rustyscupperpirates.com/ On June 24, 25 & 26th But this year is really special for my hubby and I. You see... We were going to do a Renewal Of Vows to celebrate our 20th year married (24 as friends) and we were going to do it Pirate Style here in BC. BUT due to a SERIOUS lack of time and money, we are unable to do it now. YET our wonderful Brethren in the US (Mostly the work of Black Widow from http://www.piratesofthepacfic.com/index.html ) made it quite clear that in these hard times a declaration of love, such as this, should not be over looked. She also insisted on thanking us for all t…

Okay, gang, NorCal is coming up soon. One of the biggest, most heavily attended events on the pirate calendar. Those of you who have been, know what I mean. NorCal is HUGE. It also has the added attraction of the schooner Aldebaran doing a ship to shore cannon battle both days. ( I should know, I be part of her crewe!) So, start thinking about heading to the Bay of Saint Francis come June—traditionally on Father's Day weekend. Tales of the Seven Seas will be there, as usual, so come on by and say howdie.

Hey everyone, This one has been a bit of a rocky road, but I am charging forth to make the best of it for this year. Over the weekend of June 25th to 27th (the last weekend of this month), pirate re-enactors have been invited to camp and display at this pirate festival. The festival is a few years old, but has mostly been focused on a pirate theme, but I checked the festival out last year, and got in touch with the organizer, and after some "on again/off-again" question marks, we have an area to camp in, and perhaps display from. I have an email out to the organizer to clear up some last minute details, but if there is anyone in Northern Ohio, or willing to travel from…

(He is in S. Calif. for just a month or so). When he heard about NorCal Pirate Fest, he was eager to go. Can anyone help? We have no room i…

Had a great time at the Port Washington Pirate Festival. The crew gave out almost two chests full of trinkets to the new pirate recruits. The patrons seemed engaged and pirates friendly and ready for fun.

Hello to the Mainiacs! Have you been waiting to hear your shanty pals take on some Christmas tunes? Well, now is your chance! Bounding Main will perform this Saturday, Dec 5, in our favorite lake-side town, Port Washington, Wisconsin, where the whole town will be gussied up for the holidays. We will be wandering about and singing and playing from 3 to 6PM. We will probably have a few shows, but we are not sure of location or time yet. It will not be difficult to spot us; aside from our usual colorful flair, we will be draped in tree deco and Santa hats. Oh yes, we love Christmas. (Not kidding actually!) The afternoon fun is followed by the parade at 6:15. We ar…
