On Presidents Day weekend, Old Fort Niagara takes visitors back to the 18th century, when the historic site presents a special event entitled The Winter Warriors. Reenactors will present living history activities that illustrate how soldiers and civilians survived winter weather during the colonial period. Programs include musket firings, tactical demonstrations, period cooking, fire starting, shelter building, snowshoeing (weather permitting) and winter clothing.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a winter garrison as they warm up beside the fire in the 300-year-old French Castle and experience the fort in the winter season.
General Admission. Advance tickets can be purchased on this website or at the door the day of the event.
