We have loads of fun all weekend, so plan to attend both days for a great destination weekend!
Festival Tips
Children who arrive Saturday morning can get their face painted and make a costume for free to JOIN in the Little Mermaids and Sea Monsters Parade at 1pm! This year it’s being held right in Fort Trumbull State Park!
Bring your picnic blankets or beach chairs to enjoy great live music, delicious food, and stunning waterfront views on the grass of Fort Trumbull. Fort Trumbull is a BYOB space, so no alcohol will be sold at the Festival but you are welcome to bring your own.
Head to downtown New London for dinner at the Basque Festival on the plaza across from the train station or visit one of the great New London restaurants between 5 – 7:30pm Saturday and then join the historical Burning of Benedict Arnold March of the Traitor along Bank Street! Wear period garb to fully immerse yourself in this historic event dating to 1782!
Park in a downtown garage or on the street near Fort Trumbull or the Waterfront Park and use the Festival’s free water taxi and shuttle bus to go between venues. The parking lot at Fort Trumbull is reserved for those with a Handicapped parking permit.
