Take a creative and colourful journey back to the seafaring days of the 17th and 18th centuries with an evening of family friendly dance, music and fun at the Buccaneers' Ball!
Fashion: Creative attire suggesting the era of 17th & 18th century pirates, buccaneers, sailors and seafarers is recommended but modern tropical or "summer casual" are welcome too as well as classic 1960s beach party looks.
Music & Dance: We are very welcoming and friendly for first-timers and will teach you the historic social dances which will be fun and easy to learn. Expect a lively, happy nautical vibe with music, dance and fun activities from a wide range of sources representing our colourful and creative theme. (Yes, there will be sea chanteys!) Arrrrrrrrr. You'll be dancing and enjoying in no time! 🐵
Beach Party?: Many of our regular participants enjoy having some freestyle dancing along with the historic set dances. For you... we'll be tossing in a few classic beach party tunes circa 1962-64. 🐵
When: The evening of Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 there will be social time beginning at 6:30 with the dance from 7 to approximately 10:30.
Where: The Gym of Mesa Baptist Church at 2425 S. Alma School Rd. in Mesa. This is the southeast corner of Alma School Rd. & Medina Ave. (Medina Ave. is halfway between Baseline & Guadalupe.)
Come & Welcome: Admission is open to a limited number of well mannered persons of grace and respect. We attract a very joyful and gracious group of people who know how to properly conduct themselves according to our House Standards.
