Ahoy Mateys! Get ready for a swashbucklin’ good time as Kitty Hawk Kites hosts the Outer Banks Pirate Festival.
Pirates and mateys will be camped out at Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head. Come learn the vast history of pirates on the OBX, and participate in Scallywag School for the little ones to see if they have what it takes to be a pirate.
Scallywag school registration is $10 per participant and can be done online. Registration will go live the month before the event and is strongly recommended. Time slots usually fill up prior to the day of the event. Each school is 30 minutes long and participants get a certificate at the end.
Scallywag School will be at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM BOTH Wednesday, August 7th and Thursday, August 8th.
Walk-up pictures with Mermaid (free, no registration required) will be from 12-2 PM outside the front of Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head (subject to change).
