Sterling..lol I was waiting for ye to check in. This ^ is especially true for me and when I wrote it you came to mind and I thought "Oh Sterlings gonna laugh at this one" Welcome to the club mate~ At RF2 laid down and hoped to get two hours worth of sleep...usually I get to bed late and Cheeky is up and bouncing off the walls around five or six with me grumbling a mile a minute... no one should be that happy first thing out of bed. But at Chicago, just laid there finally got up, dressed and wandered around the hotel, both Cheeks and Aurore whispering at me..."What the hell are you doing?" I think the only night I actually managed a few hours was after Pete's grogtinis... more like passed out instead of falling asleep... I think I'm like Merrydeath... you get to a point and think why bother going to bed at all and you just start all over again with a quick shower and a change of clothes. I can't get my mind to shut off. The problem is I have my best ideas at night while trying to fall asleep. It's when I do all my writing. I usually lay there thinking out the words in my head & seeing the story as if it were a movie until it's "perfect" before committing anything to the computer. I'd shut my brain off and get more sleep, but I don't want to loose that creative side that comes out at that time either. More and more articles and news subjects prove you need your sleep and also during normal sleep time which is night. Your body during these sleeping hours does most of the repair jobs. Dinner at 2AM, sleep at 7am till about 11, sleep again at 6pm to 7:45 and off to work at 8:15pm. But driving home East as the sun rises is not only beautiful, it wakes you naturally. Get to work on a Tues, leave Wed morning and go back Wed night. Um...what day is it? But thats only once a month. Three on four off; four on three off and so on. I worked Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. Get up about 6 PM for breakfast. Lunch around 1 AM. Have a bit of a snack around 5 AM. In the showers at 7:30 AM. On the road home by 8 AM. Dinner around 9 AM in the sack by noon. Back at it at 6. Now it's 24 hour shifts. 24 on 72 off. Doc Wiseman - Ship's Physician, Stur.. er... I really did try to sleep last night & the blasted thing kept waking me up every hour. The couple of weeks before that I had too much sewing to do & needed the extra time, before that, well I had a good excuse. See, it's all about having a *reason* to be up.
