That reminds me of this...and it sort of reminds me of this (H.R. Giger is so weird):

What the hell is that thing? The Chattanooga Chew Chew?

I think it was in a movie. (I really think it was some pet project of H.R. Giger's that he showed to a director who said, "Oh, what the hell. Let's put it in the movie.")

Giger is probably best known for his design of the aliens from the movies of the same name(s) and Sil from the Species' movies. (And yet, while I know all this, I've only seen the movie Aliens from either of those series of movies.) Giger is into the whole cyborg, exoskeleton, scaly monster kit-bashing thing. I had a friend who had a book of his sketches. Weird. Just plain weird.

"You're supposed to be dead!"

"Am I not?"

OOh exo skeleton.

I had the coolest biology teacher. He taught us how to instantly identify either type of skeleton.

He said if you step on it and it goes

"Squish-crunch" - Endo skeleton

"Crunch-squish" - exo skeleton.. I never forgot that..

Monterey Bay. I could have stayed there, picking around in the tide pools all day.

that road goes on like that for about 5-6 miles with only some peat bogs to break up the monotony .....yeah it's lovely until you've lived there for almost 20 years in a house full of weavers and fisherman ...you didn't get to see that there is no running water and the facilities are a small stone shed about 30 feet out the backside of the house and the village has less than 100 people and you're related to most of them in one way or another.... and other than getting drunk frequently there isn't a whole lot of social life ........and having hell fire and brimstone tossed in your face on a daily basis if you don't toe the line and live by the scottish free church rules ....:lol::lol:

46_cille_barr.jpg

with the family plot just outside the door as well

so it's a lovely spot to visit and sight see but living there for a lifetime is pure hell ...at least for me!!!

Some awesome pics here.

Here's one of my fav pics. Taken a year and a half ago on an august morning north of Camden, SC on the actual battlefield site. VERY... surreal...

Retribution with Winken or Blinken or Nod on either side if I'm not mistaken right?

Your nephew has good taste in photo subjects Lady B.

Aye... that he does. I'm encouraging him to use his camera to take ramdom pics when he can. And to believe... he's barely used a camera!

Another image taken a few years ago... Nov 2000... on top of Mt Petit Jean in Arkansas. BTW... that's my dad (tallest) and nephew (shortest).

And another pic I like... other folks like this one, too. I've had requests for copies of this one...
