It's almost midnight, I'm still at work, and I just found out the girl who has only been at my job for a year is now making more money than me.I've been working at this place for almost 5 years and I always get excellent reviews, work my butt off, take on extra responsibilities and I'm a team player. I think I might just be getting screwed! Actually that can't be, if I was getting screwed I might enjoy it.... Rogue Mermaid Posted October 3, 2008 Share Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) I have a decent relationship with the boss, but he'll be pissed at the coworker for telling me she got a raise (she told me the percent and how much cash per year it equaled. That's how I figured out her pay rate. Slightly evil of me, but it was driving me nuts). She's become a good friend, so I wouldn't want to get her in trouble. You can bet I'll ask for a raise though when my review comes up in January. Sadly, I think the real reason why is because my company knows they can take advantage of me and they think I don't notice. I'm going to crash so hard when I get home later on today and not answer my phone this weekend. Next week is going to be another long work schedule as well. I go back on Monday and go all the way into next weekend and into next week, finally getting another day off on Thursday the 16th, ugh..... The when I awoke this morning my throat was on fire and I have very little voice to speak of. This becomes a bit of a problem seeing that half my day I spend talking to people on the phone or paging. Damn it hurts! ditto, unfortunatley.. I had a runny nose and it turned into a runny nose, a cough, plugged ears, and a throat that feels like tabasco is running thru it. Mine is dust related tho.. and I work on the phone too.. should be interesting! I hope you feel better soon, Cheeky! I think mine is all allergy. I guess the harvest is pretty dusty this year, and with all the flooding, it made it a bit wetter. Hopefully it will freeze soon, and the allergies will go poof! I got the willies watching Paranormal State last night and now I am really in the "spirit". I was spooked all night and kept waking up because I thought I was hearing voices, turned out my boyfriend was talking in his sleep! Nothing weirder than waking up at 3am to , "Heeeeelllooooooo".
