(you just write the first (or in the case of Capt Phil and Patrick, second) thing that you think of..One or two words at most, or more if its really good.)

HEY!

.... Oops, sorry... I read too fast sometimes... I thought Merrydeath said "Cap'n Pete" had to say the second thing that came to his mind. I retract my "HEY!"

Can I just say... "#6" PPhil? Why do I think you and I watched all the same TV shows? I used to race home from working at the Bristol (then "King Richard's") Renaissance Faire every Sunday evening in time to catch Patrick McGoohan... One week I thought I screwed up, because it was clearly some old western, and it turned out to be the episode "Living in Harmony."

Anyway, where were we? Oh yes....

Eye patch

.... eye patch.....

......skull......

...My first association was "see through" because I made an eye patch outta wet-molded leather, and a plated skull... cunningly devised so you can see through it....

But if I said "see through" then Merrydeath would be sure abouut my dirty mind.... even after explaining why it was associated wth eye patch.... B)

CROSSBONES

... must relate eyepatch thing. Made my son a pirate costume for Hallowe'en. It turned out fantastic. I sewed a fake parrot to the shoulder of his baldric (it was shagged out after a long squawk), so it looked as if were perched there. Well, after Hallowe'en festivities, the parrot had taken rather a tough beating, and one of its eyes fell off. We replaced it with an eyepatch. When anyone asks this very well-dressed pirate where his eyepatch is, he simply points to the bird.

Anyway, that leaves us at:

crossbones

Seee!!!! You just have a very vivid imagination... and it takes a definite turn sometimes.. LOL

Cute story Cappy Pete, and Patrick, both shows ya what a pirate can do if needed. Gods knows the staples I used on my parrot to attach it to my shoulder was not the way to go. Gonna leave a mark..

Rumba, you are already immortal.. and a heck of a pirate lass.

Jolly Roger

(Or Roger the red.. I THINK he is jolly?)

I have to say it is (wonderfully) daunting to post behind Merrydeath now that her name says, Immortal Pyrate. I keep feeling as if I should kneel and genuflect. So, (Ciaran removes hat and bows politely).

Anyway, sorry.

The word is

SWAMPS
