On the night of November 2, 2011, this historic bronze cannon was stolen during a break-in at Edston Plastic Company in Romulus , Michigan. The cannon belongs to Matt Switlik of Monroe, Michigan. Trunnions are marked: 225 p (weight) and markings which translate: Made from copper from Riotinto and Mexico. The breech ring is engraved with the Seville location, date of 1795 and serial number 3610.

The cannon is one of a matching pair owned by Matt Switlik. They were brought to Michigan by General H.H. Bandholtz of Constantine Michigan, an Army officer who served in the Spanish American War.
