As always, Poppa makes every effort to have the pictures up for ye all to see for the holidays...so here are some to get you started. Hehas over 14,000 pictures to sort for the events of FTPI and PiP, so it takes awhile. There are about 2000 or so up now.

Dear Momma and Poppa, These photos are just fantastic! As always you make that effort that preserves the wonder of this "Thing" we all do! I can't say "activity" or many other terms used to describe "reenactment" because this has become so much more. I have grown so fond of so many people with that love we share with family. It has become that strong a bond that when Hampton or Beaufort approaches I get that feeling I used to waiting for my favorite cousin to arrive! When some can't make it, how sorely they are missed. Momma and Lily were truly the Glue for FTPI. Poppa, you've removed anyone's ability to deny their acts of insanity but most of all preserved our memories of another family reunion that was filled with fun. We can all go on to thank many others for their involvement and input. To all of you, I am Grateful and mean you no slight. I just wish to thank Momma and Poppa. Somehow I had to add Lily just because.

With this year ending I do wish to thank you all for the good times we've shared. From the in depth conversation to the passing smile. God Bless you all and may this New Year be one of Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity! X ( Dutch, his mark)

What are you talking about? Those are period-correct pink flamingo breeches as made by Lady Brower. They even came with an embroidered pink-flamingo pocket.

Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?"

John: "I don't know."

Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Here's some more I found from Poppa as I was looking for pics for the epilogue of the Surgeon's Journal:

What sort of weird world does this come from?

HEAR! HEAR!!

"I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers
